Not being able to park inside due to potential FIRE, messages of electric mode inoperable, emergency pedestrian ranking, going from park to auto shift it loud/clunky. Infotainment sometimes takes a while to load or recognize apple car play. Main concern would of course be fire potential and not charging it. Which defeats whole purpose of leasing it to see how it does. No other problems except for the ones we all have had with 4Xe models.

During a standard service, the servicing dealership (Lester Glenn Jeep, Tom’s River,NJ) failed to perform the mandatory factory electronic scan bleed required for the Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) and ABS/ESC modules. This critical omission left unpurged fluid and internal system aeration trapped deep inside the electronic braking components, severely compromising the vehicle's stopping integrity and creating an immediate safety hazard. The safety omission was caught and documented via a secondary diagnostic scan by another authorized Jeep servicing facility (Pine Belt Jeep, Lakewood,NJ ), which had to perform the corrective electronic scan bleed to restore proper braking functionality and make the vehicle safe for public roads.

When I push the turn signal stockforward to initiate the highbeams, the highbeam function does not work. The lever clicks into position as it should, but it does not initiate the high beam mode. It will work first thing in the morning when I start my car, but after three or four minutes, the highbeams disengage and goes back to low beam.When I use the flash-to-pass mode by pulling the lever toward me, the highbeams do work. The problem began about two weeks ago when driving home at night, I had no highbeams which was a safety issue. I have not taken my vehicle to the dealership for anyone to take a look at the issue yet. From what I’ve read it seems like it’s a problem with the multifunction switch in which other 2024 Jeep grand Cherokees had a recall. I don’t abuse my vehicle components. In fact, I’m probably extra careful to use them properly and I use them with ease. My car is still under warranty. Is this something that is typically covered under warranty? I cannot seem to find a recall for the matter. My Vin number returns zero recalls.

06/13/2026: THIRD EPISODE of 2024 Jeep GC Summit (Top of Line) Battery being COMPLETELY DEAD after 3-4 days of no driving. I bought my Jeep in 12/2025!? Another issue that others report is the DIFFICULTY of 'jumping' the battery/engine to give a start. We tried multiple times on the evening of 06/13 to no avail. On Sunday, 06/14, we REVVED the jumper engine to ....7000 or 8000 rpms (on the tachometer) before getting enough power to successfully jump the Jeep. THIS New Vehicle "Dead Electric" is very scary on how it could strand us!!

Continuously losing power while driving. It almost feels like a drop in power and a tug backwards. It’s not the same as regenerative breaking as I am familiar with that concept. Yesterday it responded differently. Instead of losing power there was a burst of power which almost caused me to crash into the vehicle in front of me. Lastly for the last 6 months my car fuel gauge doesn’t work correctly. It gets stuck at half and doesn’t register the gasoline put in til miles later. This has caused me to run out or gas 3 times, something that never happened in my other vehicles.

On XXX, at approximately 8:45 AM in [XXX], my wife was driving our 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. She was stopped at a red traffic light and, when the light turned green, proceeded to make a normal left turn through the intersection. While approximately halfway through the intersection, the vehicle unexpectedly displayed a forward collision warning ("BRAKE!") and aggressively applied the Automatic Emergency Braking system. The weather was clear and sunny, and there was no apparent vehicle, pedestrian, obstacle, or other hazard in the Jeep's path that would have justified an emergency braking intervention. The unexpected braking caused the Jeep to decelerate abruptly in the middle of the intersection. As a result, a truck traveling behind the Jeep, at an estimated speed of approximately 10 mph, rear-ended the vehicle. A second vehicle then rear-ended the truck, resulting in a multi-vehicle collision. A police report was filed, and my wife was determined not to be at fault for the accident. We are submitting this report because we are concerned that the unexpected activation of the Automatic Emergency Braking system may represent a serious safety issue that could endanger vehicle occupants and other motorists and should be investigated. On 11 October 2025, I was driving on the Interstate when an error message appeared in the cluster "Active Lane Management (ALM) Unavailable Service Required". The Lane Assistance turned OFF and could not be turned back ON until vehicle was restarted. I called the dealership and requested an appointment. They stated that unless they could repeat the issue, an appointment would be useless. The ALM error message disappeared on restart of the vehicle. On 02 January 2026, I started the vehicle when an error message appeared in the cluster "Auto Emergency Break (AEB) Limited Functionality Service Required". The Lane Assistance turned OFF but could be turned back ON. The vehicle visited the dealership on 13 February 2026 and the AEB error was repeated numerous times on start by dealership personnel. On Monday, 23 February 2026, vehicle was left at dealership for 10 days. They performed numerous software updates and returned vehicle to me on 05 March 2026. On 09 March 2026, AEB Error message appeared in cluster. Took vehicle immediately to dealership and they refused to take it back in for service. They stated Jeep had no idea how to resolve and I had to wait on a solution. AEB message happened again on 14 March 2026, 31 March 2026, 01 April 2026, 05 May 2026, 08 May 2026, 21 May 2026. On 05 May 2026, the AEB error and ALM error appeared on the same day. I drove the vehicle to the dealership and they retrieved error code U045D. Dealership finally agreed to take vehicle back in for service on Monday, 25 May 2026 which is where is still sitting today, 05 Jun 2026. Initially, dealership stated Jeep had release another software update but then 24 hours later they stated they had ordered a new cluster. The new cluster was cancelled by Jeep so they ordered it again. Dealership stated they are waiting on a new cluster to arrive. I have no idea if AEB system works or not which to me is a major safety issue. Also, how can I trust this vehicle ever again!

On 5/11/26 at approximately 7:40pm, I was driving a leased 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee in [XXX] , turning left at the busy intersection of [XXX] and [XXX] . I was in the outside lane of a double left-turn lane with a green left-turn arrow, while opposing traffic was also moving through the intersection in its own turn movement. In the center of the intersection, the vehicle suddenly activated Forward Collision Warning and then Auto Emergency Braking without warning, even though I was lawfully proceeding through the turn. The vehicle stopped abruptly and forcefully in the middle of the intersection, leaving my car stranded in active traffic. I braced for a rear-end collision, which surprisingly did not occur as there must not have been another car behind me After the sudden stop, I was unable to shift the vehicle back into Drive for several seconds. By the time I was able to move the car again, the light had turned red and other lanes of traffic were beginning to proceed. This created an immediate risk of a serious collision from cross traffic or vehicles approaching from behind. The force of the unexpected stop was strong enough to cause neck pain. By chance, no other vehicle struck my car, but this was a near-miss event with clear potential for severe injury or death. I no longer feel safe driving this vehicle. In addition, this vehicle has had multiple recalls and other issues, which heightens my concern that this may be part of a broader safety defect involving the Forward Collision Warning, Auto Emergency Braking, or related electronic control systems. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee can falsely detect a collision risk during a lawful left turn and improperly engage automatic braking or otherwise prevent the driver from promptly returning the vehicle to Drive. The Active Lane Management (ALM) and Auto Emergency Braking (AEB) systems on this 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe fail repeatedly while the vehicle is in motion at highway speeds. The defect began at 384 miles. The ALM system will silently disable itself, and the AEB system forces the vehicle to display an 'AEB Limited Functionality Service Required' warning. Following six distinct repair attempts, the authorized servicing dealer (Eide Chrysler) stated in writing via text message on March 5, 2026, that this is a 'known issue' and that FCA engineering currently has 'no fix' available. The manufacturer has attempted to dismiss the ongoing hardware failure as a resolved hybrid battery software recall, but the collision avoidance systems remain actively defective. Because the steering overcorrection and sudden loss of emergency braking present an immediate crash risk, the vehicle is unsafe to operate.

They did not fix the battery, they just reduced performance to try and minimize the risk and save them from replacing the defective part. I am filing a safety complaint regarding serious and recurring issues with my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee that create unsafe driving conditions. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I began experiencing intermittent electrical malfunctions while driving. Without warning, multiple dashboard warning lights and signals activate simultaneously. During these events, I lose confidence in the vehicle’s reliability and safety, as it is unclear whether critical systems are affected. On at least one occasion, the issue forced me to pull over to the side of the road due to safety concerns. The vehicle would not return to normal operation immediately, and I had to repeatedly turn the vehicle off and on for approximately 20 minutes before it reset. In addition, the check engine light has been on for a significant portion of the time since I purchased the vehicle. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership multiple times, but the issue has not been permanently resolved. I am also concerned about multiple safety recalls affecting this vehicle. Some of these recalls currently have no available remedy, which increases the risk and leaves me driving a vehicle that may have known safety defects without a fix. These ongoing issues pose a serious safety risk to me and others on the road. I am requesting that this matter be investigated, and that appropriate action be taken to address these defects. I was sold a defective 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. Both the batter and engine can catch fire while parked and is not recommended to be parked near other cars or any structures. The dealership told me that the recalls were not on my vehicle at the time of purchase per Stellantis (November 7, 2025) which in fact they were. They said my car was not protected under Lemon Law which it is. And a number of other misinformation. I bought the car for around $35,000 and in 6 months the value depreciated to $20,000 per the sales manager Michael Morris. They claimed to have no access to this purchase in their database.

I am the owner of a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WL) subject to Safety Recall 12B / NHTSA 24V-130, concerning high beam headlamps that fail to respond when the master lighting switch is set to the AUTO position. I contacted Flagship Chrysler to schedule the free recall repair. The dealer refused to perform the service, claiming my vehicle does not qualify because it lacks the Auto High Beam feature (sales code LMS). However, according to the official recall documentation, the recall applies specifically to vehicles WITHOUT the Auto High Beam Headlamps feature (sales code LMS). My vehicle does have the Auto Lights function but does not have Auto High Beam — which is precisely the condition described in the recall scope. The dealer appears to be confusing Auto Lights with Auto High Beam, and is incorrectly excluding my vehicle from a mandatory safety recall. This repair is required by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108 S9.4, and I am being denied a free remedy I am legally entitled to. I am requesting NHTSA's assistance in ensuring the dealer complies with their legal obligation to perform this recall repair at no charge.

The factory-installed Trailer Tow module in my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee keeps shutting down the lights in my horse trailer while on the road. The trailer lights been thoroughly inspected and no problem with the lights or wiring could be found. The Jeep dealer said the Jeep is "functioning as designed." Apparently, it is designed to shut down all the trailer lights at the most minor change in the current. It is a huge safety issue for me, my horse and anyone that may be behind us. I will be driving along and a "check trailer lights" message comes on - when that happens, I know I have no trailer lights because the Jeep has shut them down. The lights will not go back on until the car reboots, which means it has to be turned off for 15 minutes or so.

Hello, I am reaching out regarding a serious safety issue involving my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe under an active recall (78C), which Stellantis has acknowledged can cause an engine fire or sudden loss of vehicle function. Despite the severity of this recall, there is currently no remedy available. Vehicle battery(s) consistently fail. Batteries have already been replaced once but they persist to fail especially if the vehicle sits for 1-2 days. This causes the vehicle to either not start at all, or starts, but then fails when you attempt to restart, once at your destination, leaving you stranded. No warnings. NHTSA Complaint Draft I am filing a follow-up complaint regarding Recall 78C on my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. This recall involves risk of catastrophic engine failure, loss of propulsion, and potential fire. It has now been approximately 5 months since the recall was issued, and there is still no remedy available. I have completed all other recalls that had remedies and have fully complied with all manufacturer instructions. Due to the safety concerns and lack of a remedy, I was instructed by Stellantis to obtain a rental vehicle when a loaner was not provided. I incurred out-of-pocket rental expenses based on this guidance. However, despite multiple follow-up emails, Stellantis has failed to provide any reimbursement process, timeline, or response regarding these expenses. Additionally, I have received conflicting and unclear guidance regarding safe operation of the vehicle, including whether it can be driven or charged. This has significantly impacted my ability to safely use the vehicle for its intended purpose. At this point, I have made multiple documented attempts to resolve this directly with Stellantis and have received no response. I am [XXX] , lessee of a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4xe, VIN [XXX] . This vehicle is subject to three open safety recalls, including FCA Recall No. 78C (NHTSA 25V-766), which states the engine may be contaminated with sand from the casting process, leading to catastrophic engine failure, vehicle fire, or sudden unrecoverable loss of propulsion. Stellantis has confirmed there is no available repair and no parts — the recall status reads "Parts Unavailable" and "Incomplete." I am a father of three young children. My wife and I use this vehicle daily, including to transport our kids to school. Every day we face the impossible choice of putting our children in a vehicle the manufacturer itself says could catch fire or lose all power without warning. I reported this to the dealer, Westbury Jeep, on February 10, 2026. They acknowledged the danger but said that replacement vechicles can only be provided by the lessor, Stallantis. I then wrote to Stellantis's executive team. The only response came from [XXX] , Customer Care & Experience Executive Referrals Manager [XXX] , [XXX] ), who offered to cover two lease payments and a gas card. She asked me to send my lease information so Stellantis Financial Services could follow up. I sent it. Stellantis Financial never responded — not a call, not an email, nothing. When accelerating, the car suddenly jerks and stops moving at a consistent speed. This happened multiple times over the last 8 months or so. Sometimes it happens immediately after backing out of my driveway. It has also happened while driving on a highway at high speeds (65mph) where I've nearly been involved in high speed accidents. I have had multiple issues with glitches in the electrical system. Specifically relating to the screen. It will shut off on its own, it will switch screens on its own and more recently, completely off. I was unable to get the black screen to turn on for quite a while, I turned the vehicle off multiple times, I also tried a hard reset multiple times for it finally decided to work. At times, the backup camera does not pop onto the screen. My issues are very similar to the recall, jeeps with electrical issues, but mine has not been recalled.

I am filing this complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall (Recall 78C) on my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, which has now been open for approximately 139 days without a remedy. This recall involves engine manufacturing contamination that may lead to catastrophic engine failure, loss of propulsion, and potential fire risk. Despite the seriousness of the recall, Stellantis has failed to provide a remedy and has given conflicting and unclear guidance regarding safe operation. At one point, I was instructed to operate the vehicle using the gasoline engine only. I was later told Stellantis cannot provide technical guidance and to contact the dealership. The dealership has stated they have no clear direction from Stellantis. As a result, I have no clear understanding of whether it is safe to operate the vehicle, use electric mode, or rely solely on the gasoline engine. Restricting use to the gasoline engine also prevents use of the plug-in hybrid system, meaning the vehicle cannot be used for its intended purpose, resulting in increased fuel costs over several months. I have also incurred out-of-pocket rental car expenses during recall service. Stellantis indicated reimbursement would be available but has not provided a process or responded to follow-ups. Given the nature of the recall and lack of guidance, I cannot determine if this vehicle is safe to transport my newborn child. At this point, I am concerned with both the unresolved defect and the manufacturer’s failure to provide consistent safety direction, communication, or a path toward resolution.

I am writing to outline my urgent concerns regarding the 78C recall affecting the 2023–2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe and 2024–2025 Wrangler 4xe SUVs. This recall was initiated due to a manufacturing defect where casting sand remains in the 2.0L engine, presenting a risk of catastrophic engine failure, sudden power loss, or fire. The potential for engine fire or unexpected power loss represents a significant safety risk to my family. The possibility of fire, even when the vehicle is parked and not in use, puts my home and neighboring properties in danger. This risk is especially heightened during Colorado’s wildfire season, when any vehicle fire could quickly escalate into a larger disaster. Due to the recall, I am unable to use the vehicle as intended under the terms of my lease agreement. I cannot safely operate or charge the vehicle. Furthermore, the requirement to park the vehicle outside does not eliminate the risk of fire, which continues to threaten my property and those nearby. There is currently no available repair or remedy for this defect. As a result, the vehicle is unusable for an indefinite period of time. Given the unresolved safety hazards, inability to use the vehicle, and lack of a repair solution, I formally request that you initiate a buy back of my affected vehicle. This action is necessary to ensure my family’s safety and to resolve the ongoing hardship caused by this recall.

I am the owner of a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe which is currently subject to two urgent safety recalls: Recall 68C (NHTSA 25V-741) regarding a high-voltage battery fire risk, and Recall 95B (NHTSA 25V-766) regarding engine sand contamination. On March 13, 2026, I attempted to have these recalls addressed at an authorized dealership (Brooksville Jeep). I reported two specific safety symptoms: Abnormal loud engine noise during acceleration and shifting, which is a documented warning sign of catastrophic engine failure under Recall 95B. Significant electric range depletion (a 10% drop from 32 miles to 29 miles), indicating potential battery cell instability under Recall 68C. Despite these reported safety symptoms and the official "Park Outside / Do Not Charge" advisory, the dealership and the manufacturer's recall department refused to provide a loaner or rental vehicle. They instead placed me on a "waitlist" and instructed me to continue driving the vehicle. By refusing to provide a safe, non-defective loaner vehicle while remedies are "under development," the manufacturer is forcing me to operate a vehicle that is a documented fire and stalling hazard. This puts my safety, the safety of my passengers, and my property at risk of a thermal event or a sudden loss of propulsion on public roads

The vehicle was in Hybrid mode. My wife was driving and had slowed to enter a roundabout to yield to another vehicle. When she accelerated and entered the roundabout, the vehicle stalled / shut itself off and flashed Service Hybrid System. She had to coast to a stop as it lost all propulsion. The vehicle started again after shutting it off and letting it go to sleep by opening the door. This same issue happened while slowing, then accelerating into a roundabout while I was driving a few weeks before in "Electric" mode. During this event, it stalled in the middle of the road and was blocking traffic. I had to shut the car off, open the door, wait, then restart it by going to "sport mode" to get the gas engine started.
