What the site collects
TireKick has no user accounts or advertising trackers. Anonymous application analytics record page views and feature use so we can improve the site. Search and filter choices are used to produce the page you request and are not written to the TireKick database. Query logging and recall-alert signup are disabled.
Infrastructure logs
Cloudflare processes ordinary request metadata, which can include an IP address, browser details, requested URL, timing, and error information. TireKick uses sampled Worker logs to detect outages and security problems. Those logs are not used for advertising or sold.
VIN decode shortcut
Entering a VIN is optional. When you use it, the VIN is sent once to TireKick over an encrypted connection, decoded against the official public NHTSA vPIC service to read the make, model, year, and configuration, and used to check open recalls for that make/model/year. The VIN is processed in memory to produce that result and is then discarded: it is not stored in our database, not written to our logs, not placed in any page URL, and not included in any link you share. The page you land on and any link you copy carry only the make, model, year, and the non-sensitive context you entered (mileage, annual miles, ownership horizon). Because the VIN is never retained, there is nothing to delete after the decode completes. TireKick is a buying-decision tool, not a VIN history service.
On-device data
Inspection-checklist progress and your saved shortlist are stored only in your own browser (localStorage) on the device you use. They are never sent to TireKick. Clearing your browser storage removes them.
Recall alerts
Recall-alert signup is not available. TireKick does not collect or send email alerts from this launch version.
Service providers and requests
Cloudflare hosts the application and database. Federal vehicle data comes from NHTSA and the EPA. To request access to or deletion of legacy information, emaileasylaunch@parallel.game.
