Have been having power steering problems over the past few years. Started by displaying a shift to park message while driving, my car would then lose power and shut down completely and power steering would lock up. Have taken to dealerships and independent mechanics and was told it was the wiring harness which they repaired several times and the car continued to have the issue. Approximately 3 months ago I was driving 55mph on highway when suddenly without any warning, the power steering failed and locked up making it very difficult to turn the wheel to get the vehicle off the highway safely. The power steering locking up put myself, my passengers and other drivers at risk bc I had no control over the steering. When I got the vehicle off of the highway a message repeatedly coming on and off saying “service power steering “ and another message saying power steering assist off service system. I was able to get the vehicle home, however the steering was extremely difficult especially in turns which is a major safety concern increasing a risk of an accident. I have done a lot of research about this issue and have found that there are numerous others with the same issue and same make/model as my 2016 Chrysler 300 C. I took the vehicle to another independent mechanic and they told me they couldn’t figure out what is wrong with it. I made another appointment with another mechanic and when I attempted to drive it “manually” as I had to do when it initially started doing this, the electric power steering has now completely locked up and the wheel is not functional at all and power steering has completely failed. This is not only a huge inconvenience but a serious safety hazard and should be investigated by the manufacturer.

Main Fuel Pump and accompanied electrical connect. The fuel pump and electrical wiring harness is available upon request. My safety was at risk due to a faulty electrical connection inside the fuel tank. My vehicle made a loud hmming sound at a stop sign, upon continuing forward the vehicle shut off randomly. Upon inspection, the fuel was not sending to the engine. We bought a new fuel pump and replaced at the side of the road. When inspecting the OEM fuel pump and accompanied electrical connection, we noticed over heated wiring and melts plastic inside the fuel tank on the underside of the fuel pump, as well as burnt connections on the outside of the fuel tank on the tip side of the fuel pump. We have pictures to support. No warning signs, signals, or lights were present at the time of failure. When purchasing new fuel pump, there were no instructions for replacement of electrical connections. The only indication we found as to what was happening was through public forums online, showing the electrical wiring was faulty and needed replacing with the alternative wiring harness due to wiring (hot wire, b+) being located too close to the grounding wiring causing it to burn amd/or arch creating a problem with which could cause fire and explosion. No information was readily available nor have we received any information on potential catastrophic injury or failure.

The bolts were loose on the driveshaft on the all-wheel-drive, which caused them to have to replace the entire driveshaft! If the driveshaft would’ve broke, whoever was driving the vehicle, whether it be me, or with my son in it, we would’ve wrecked and possibly died! The problem has been confirmed with a certified dealer! There is no warning signals. There was nothing and there is a recall on the same. There is a recall for the exact same problem as my car, and now they will not cover it because it doesn’t show up on the Vin! This is a very dangerous safety issue and Chrys learning to address this as soon as possible! Especially after one of their managers told me it would be paid for if I had a diagnosed with a certified dealer and now they’re saying they’re not paying for it

My door panels are peeling away from the area where the trim and window meet on my driver side and passenger. Upon research, I've discovered this is an issue going back ever since 2014 with Chrysler and Dodge vehicles Upon further research, this issue can lead to issues with side air bags not being able to possibly be deployed (I have not experienced this),driver & passenger window being affected by heating and cooling of the AC (I've experienced this with my windows not being able to adequately defrost fast enough, as well as my windshield), and issues with the doors automatic locks not locking. Hundreds of thousands of Chrysler & Dodge owners have experienced this and evidence can be found online, especially in forums - in particular Mopar Forums and Reddit. My vehicle hasn't been inspected by Police, Insurance, Manufacturer in particular to this issue, as I've discovered there's nothing can be done since I'm out of warranty and refuse to pay for this. No warning lamps of that nature have illuminated. This has been an issue since late 2018, early 2019 for me. I've owned my vehicle since May 2018.

MY 4 YEAR OLD CHRYSLER STARTED GIVING OFF A VERY STRONG SMELL OF FRESH GASOLINE EACH TIME I FILLED UP THE TANK. THE FUMES WERE SO STRONG I HAD THE CAR ON A LIFT LOOKING FOR LEAKS IN THE REAR OF THE CAR. THERE WAS NO VISIBLE LEAKING OF GASOLINE. THE SMELL WAS ALSO SUPER STRONG OUT SIDE OF THE REAR AND SIDES OF THE CAR TO THE POINT OF FEAR OF SOMEONE WALKING BY AND DROPPING A CIGAR AND BLOWING UP FROM THE FUMES. THE SMELL WAS THERE WHILE SITTING AND MOVING. THE DEALER ADVISED ME NOT TO ADD MORE THAN 1/8 OF A TANK OF GAS FROM EMPTY OR THE FUEL WOULD ESCAPE FROM THE CRACK OR HOLE AND CAUSE THE CANCEROUS SMELL. THE TECH AT THE DEALER REPORTED THAT THE FUEL WAS LEAKING AT THE FILLER CONNECTOR.

AFTER THE RECALL OF JULY 2019 TO ADDRESS ISSUE WITH ROTARY SHIFTER, I STARTED HAVING ISSUE WITH REVERSE NOT ENGAGING, TAKES SEVERAL ATTEMPTS BY TURNING CAR OFF, ETC TO GET IT TO GO INTO REVERSE. HAS BEEN TO DEALER 4 TIMES, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR CODES, SAID THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD DO. I CALLED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FILED A COMPLAINT. THEY CONTACTED THE DEALER AND WERE TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEM. CHRYSLER ASK THAT I TAKE THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND LEAVE IT UNTIL IT LOCKED UP ON THEM. THE PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT, SOMETIMES SEVERAL DAYS, THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE A LOANER AND WE CANNOT AFFORD A RENTAL FOR WHAT COULD BE DAYS TO WEEKS, SO CHRYSLER CLOSED THE CASE BECAUSE WE WOULD NOT COOPERATE. *TR

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain Mopar Stage 1 Kit Performance Packages Powertrain Control Modules (PCM) Part Numbers P5160023, P5160025, and Demon Crate PCM Part Number 68412287AA. The PCMs are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.

Risk: If the vehicle maintains its speed or accelerates despite attempts to deactivate the cruise control, there would be an increased risk of a crash.

Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will either perform a software update or replace the PCM, free of charge. The recall began July 26 , 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is U82, and U83.
