The contact owns a 2019 Ram Promaster City. The contact stated that after experiencing a flat tire, it was discovered that the spare tire could not be removed or released from the spare tire mounting section of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who cut the tire storage section in order to remove the spare tire. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000.

I WAS DESCENDING A STEEP HILL MAKING A LEFT TURN FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED AND I HEARD A NOISE AND I FELT CHATTERING IN THE STEERING WHEEL. SECOND AND THIRD OCCURRED ON FLAT GROUND MAKING 90 DEGREE TURN ALL THREE INCIDENTS HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS.

RAIN , RUSH HOUR , TRAFFIC , ACCIDENT, MY FAULT, I CHANGED LANE TO AVOID ONE ACCIDENT AND SMACKED INTO FAR RIGHT SLOW LANE INTO BACK OF A CAR. MY DODGE, PROMASTER-2019 FAILED TO DEPLOY. I TOOK THE STEERING WHEEL IN THE TEETH , BROKE BOTH MY HANDS. ATTENTION!!! 2019'S ARE NOT YET ON RECALL LIST. PLEASE RESPOND XXXX ACCIDENT (DECEMBER 4, 2019) I CAN ONLY TESTIFY TO MY OWN DIRECT EXPERIENCE WITH VIN/ XXXX. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Ram ProMaster City vehicles. If one or both turn signal lights fail, the flashing rate may not change to warn the driver of the failure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Risk: The driver may be unaware that the turn signals are not signaling their intentions to other drivers, which can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the Body Controller Module (BCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 28, 2021. Owners may contact FCA US LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US LLC's number for this recall is Y71.
