2025 Ram 1500

While driving northbound on [XXX] from [XXX] into [XXX] during heavy rain, my vehicle experienced an uncommanded Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) deployment just before the bridge. The sudden activation of the AEB system at highway speed on a wet surface caused the vehicle to lose traction, resulting in fishtailing and a subsequent head-on collision into the median. This malfunction not only put my life in danger, but the life of my passenger because if I was not able to recover as I did, the truck would have went right off the bridge. The AEB system is the component involved, and the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The problem has not yet been evaluated or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center; currently, the vehicle is being evaluated by the insurance company, and inspection is pending. 9/25/25 My truck accelerated on its own, in drive, while turning and a downhill situation. It revved high, about 2000 RPM but I was able to pull over to get it in park to stop revving, and turned it off. It restarted and when I arrived to work that trip, it did the same in reverse while trying to park. Had to hold brake hard to get truck to stop. Took to dealer did who did SW update to transmission module. 1/13/26 truck again revved while pulling forward in Mc'D's drive through, worker mentioned "that could have been bad", I said yes I thought they had fixed. Had to hold brake hard and shift into park to stop it. 3/31/26 It revved to about 2000-2500 rpm while stopped at Moine Rd. and 585 with car waiting in front of me with 55MPH traffic crosswise. I was able finally get into to park to stop it while holding brake hard to keep from moving, and turned off truck. Took to dealer who had truck for a week, engineers said to return to me (4-10-26)because they could not duplicate or find error code or problem. 4/13/26 SEL light came on, threw evap code P!CEA-00, they did SW upgrade to PCM. Thought it was fixed. About 2400 miles later on 7/10/26, while waiting at red light with car in in front of me it lurched and revved to 4000 RPM, worst time ever, tires where spinning, would not go in park, Brakes fully engaged, put in neutral, and not 100% sure that stopped back tire from spinning. Thankfully it just rained so there was a loss of traction. Pushed off button that shut truck down. Drove home, is at dealership now. This is a VERY dangerous situation. Stellantis needs to address it. There were no codes for this or any time it happens. I really don't want to lemon law this truck as it can't be rebuilt now, but not sure it's worth risking my life or the life of others if they cannot find what is causing it. I shouldn't have to buy a dash cam for my tach and feet to prove this! I have seen on Ram forums this is happened to others as well. Sad & scary all 5 TIMES!

This vehicle has a severe safety defect in its Instrument Panel Cluster that is the subject of NHTSA Safety Recall 25V-826. Despite multiple repair attempts, including a complete hardware replacement of the entire Instrument Panel Cluster, the defect remains unresolved. To date, the vehicle has been out of service for a cumulative 86 days for this issue. On June 24, 2026, after the full component replacement, the instrument panel cluster suffered a complete blackout while I was operating the vehicle at highway speeds. This resulted in a total loss of the speedometer and all safety information. A subsequent power-cycle restart failed to initialize the system. This is a documented, ongoing highway safety hazard. Video evidence of this failure is on file with the Texas DMV (active Lemon Law Case No. 26-0011927) and has been provided directly to the manufacturer's legal counsel. Loses the memory seat position all the time and seat does not roll back to exit. This vehicle received the 03D/NHTSA 26V-059 Trailer Controller replacement on 3/26/2026. Prior to that there were no indications of any trailer-related issues. It also received the 35D/NHTSA 26V-225 Instrument Panel update on 5/12/2026. The vehicle now is indicating a connected trailer with faulty wiring when no trailer is connected at all. When towing a trailer, the instrument will similarly display a recurring indication of a faulty trailer wiring, then the error disappears shortly thereafter. The dealer has been unable to diagnose the problem. It appears that Stellantis has a Case # S2623000029 which indicates a similar concern with Code B235C-64 set in the Integrated Trailer Module. This concern mentions a possible "service update" for the "3rd quarter of 2026" but the dealer is unable to confirm any timeline and is uninterested in pursuing further diagnostics. They admit the trouble codes are verified in the device database. This is a safety issue due to the fact that the vehicle notifications, while towing a load, appear to be false but can cause the vehicle operator to attempt corrections such as immediately stopping while in traffic lanes to confirm the problem. This is very risky business as is continuing on with a potential trailer electrical fault. One really doesn't know what to believe in this circumstance. In my opinion, the replacement trailer controller installed via the first recall stated above is more faulty then the original controller, which never yielded false information.

Towed RAM pickup to dealer for failing to start. Battery/shifter problems found and fixed. While driving the truck from service center, dealer tech found NO BRAKES. Subsequent diagnosis found failed BRAKE BOOSTER MOTOR failure. Sucessfully repaired. This incident could have been lethal under different circumstances. It shows a VERY unnecessary design flaw which is putting an electronic controlled component into the braking process. Historically the brakes have work reliably with strictly a mechanical/hydraulic process. Moreover, there is no emergency break pedal as I have subsequently discovered after the fact.

My 2025 Ram 1500 has less than 500 miles and in the 4 days of ownership it has completely shut down twice when accelerating from a stopped position. In both incidents, the vehicle was stopped and became completely unresponsive when I attempted to accelerate, resulting in an unexpected loss of motive power. The factory-installed tow mirrors on this vehicle present a severe safety hazard due to a major engineering and ergonomic design flaw. The physical size and placement of the side mirrors are excessively large, creating massive blind spots at the front pillars of the windshield. This completely obstructs the driver's forward-diagonal visibility, creating a "blind wall" effect that fully hides oncoming mid-size sedans, motorcycles, and pedestrians when approaching urban intersections, roundabouts, and crosswalks. This layout is entirely unsuitable for normal daily use and causes extreme driver distress due to near-miss situations. Additionally, the advanced safety electronics housed within these mirrors malfunction constantly. The Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) warning lights freeze or lock up on the glass, or the dashboard displays a permanent "Blind Spot System Unavailable" error message shortly after starting the vehicle or deploying the power-folding mirrors. 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten with High Output Hurricane 3.0L twin-turbo I6. The vehicle has experienced repeated battery failures resulting in a complete loss of electrical power. Both the main and auxiliary batteries have been replaced under warranty three separate times: 5/14/2025 at 839 miles 12/11/2025 at 4,557 miles 6/19/2026 at 7,851 miles Most recently, I drove the truck to work normally in the morning. Approximately 8-10 hours later, when I attempted to leave work, the vehicle was completely dead. The power door locks would not function, the dome lights would not illuminate, and the instrument cluster would not power on. The vehicle required a jump start to be loaded onto a tow truck. The exact cause has not been identified. The dealer determined that both the main and auxiliary batteries failed testing and replaced both batteries. A parasitic draw test was performed during the most recent repair, and the dealer reported that no abnormal draw was found. Safety concern: The vehicle became completely disabled without warning and could not be started or moved under its own power. A similar failure occurring in an unsafe location, during travel, or during an emergency could leave occupants stranded. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Ram dealer on three separate occasions. No root cause has been identified. There were no warning lights, warning messages, or noticeable symptoms prior to the most recent failure. The engine bucks, stalls and misfires. It is a safety problem as it can stall when pulling out into traffic.The problem has been reproduced by the general manager (Tony Coogle) at Sandy Sansing Ram dealer in [XXX]. Yes, the vehicle has been checked by the dealer three times. No, there are now warning lights. The problem first appeared right after I purchased it in August 2025. Since then I have taken the truck in 3 times for repair and each time the dealer has claimed a fix, but the problem continues. Vehicle loses communication with the cluster. I’ve been dealing with this issue with the dealer. They have no way of fixing it. They have changed the instrument cluster and still have the problem. It just goes black when I’m driving so I have no speedometer no gauges or anything the truck has been in the shop for 15 times I’ve only owned the truck for 13 months. The vehicle has experienced repeated failures involving the gear shifter system, electrical system, battery system, and vehicle drive mode controls. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The most serious incident occurred when the vehicle unexpectedly entered Off-Road mode without any driver input while the truck was in motion at low speed. I did not intentionally activate Off-Road mode. The vehicle immediately became difficult to maneuver and did not respond normally. Steering and vehicle behavior changed unexpectedly, requiring repeated forward and reverse movements to safely position the truck. I was concerned about losing control of the vehicle. Had this occurred at highway speeds or in traffic, it could have resulted in a crash, injury, or property damage. In addition to this incident, the vehicle has experienced multiple gear shifter failures that have rendered the truck undrivable on numerous occasions. The truck has been returned to the dealership multiple times for diagnosis and repair of the shifter system. The vehicle has also experienced battery-related failures requiring roadside assistance on two occasions and a tow to a dealership. The problems have been reproduced through repeated occurrences requiring dealership service. The vehicle has been inspected by authorized Ram dealerships on multiple occasions and repair attempts have been performed. The manufacturer, Stellantis/Ram, has also been notified through a customer assistance case. I do not recall receiving any warning that the vehicle would unexpectedly enter Off-Road mode prior to the incident. However, the vehicle has displayed various warning messages and symptoms associated with prior shifter and battery failures. Exact warning messages are unknown. The vehicle has required multiple repair attempts for safety-related issues and has been out of service for extended periods. I am concerned that the unexpected activation of Off-Road and other issues could result in accidents

on my 2025 ram 1500, my truck turns off my cross path detection, and reads i have a trailer hooked up. Engine shuts off while idling and also while driving. While driving, the condition most commonly occurs at speeds under 10 mph, but it has occurred on public roads and highways. When the engine shuts off, the truck violently engages Auto Park while the vehicle is still in motion. The condition occurs multiple times per day. There are no warning lights or messages prior to the shutdown. The condition began after a software update performed by the dealership and has been occurring for several months. The vehicle has been returned to the selling dealership for diagnosis and repair on one prior occasion. Following the repair attempt, the condition has continued and appears to have become more frequent. The Throttle response is very slow when slowing down and then trying to take back off you are half throttle or more before anything happens, i have had to pull off the road to keep other vehicles from hitting me because the vehicle would not go. There has been a few times on the interstate that the throttle would not accept throttle at all and i would have to keep mashing it to finally get it to respond. I have had the truck at two dealerships and they tell me it is normal and the throttle is acting as it should. This is going to get me or someone Killed!!!! while traveling at highway speed on the interstate in Alabama, the panoramic roof glass on my 2025 Ram 1500 spontaneously shattered and expelled outward from the vehicle. There was no prior impact, road debris strike, or warning of any kind. No injuries occurred, but the sudden loud explosion of glass was an extreme distraction and created a serious safety hazard for myself, child in the back seat and other motorists on the interstate. The failure is consistent with a known manufacturing defect in tempered glass — spontaneous shattering caused by internal stress or contaminants such as nickel sulfide inclusions — and is not consistent with road hazard damage. Glass that fails due to external impact typically breaks inward; this glass blew outward under pressure. I took the vehicle to my Ram dealership, who denied my warranty claim by citing a 1-year/12,000-mile limitation for glass. However, the FCA US LLC Basic Limited Warranty documentation lists specific components subject to that limitation — windshield and rear window among them — and does not include panoramic roof glass. The dealer’s denial appears inconsistent with the plain language of the warranty. I am requesting that NHTSA: 1.Open or add this complaint to any existing investigation into panoramic roof glass failures on Ram 1500 or other FCA/Stellantis vehicles; 2.Investigate whether a defect exists that warrants a safety recall; and 3.Record this complaint for use in any future enforcement or recall determination. This incident posed a serious safety risk at highway speeds and I believe other Ram 1500 owners may be at risk of the same failure.

The vehicles Auto-Start-Stop (ESS) works intermittently. Multiple occasions where the system was turned off and the engine quit and would not restart without putting the vehicle in park. Recently the ESS has gone months without shutoff of the engine. However, occasionally it will shut off the engine. Multiple times the engine has shut off while the vehicle is moving, which was very dangerous. Typically after a stop at a traffic light, you begin to drive and the engine quits. A fuse box burnt up while driving in down town Chicago at 35mph causing no power to steer and loss of braking. Complaint Summary: My 2025 Ram 1500 has a recurring safety critical defect that causes the truck to suddenly and unpredictably decelerate from highway speeds (around 70 mph to 55 mph) down to approximately 5 mph, even though the engine RPMs remain around 4,000. This creates an immediate risk of being rear ended or causing a multi vehicle crash. Full Description of the Problem: While driving at normal highway speeds, the vehicle suddenly loses propulsion without warning. The truck slows rapidly to about 5 mph, dealership verbally described as “limp mode” to protect itself, despite the engine continuing to rev at high RPMs. During these events, the dashboard and infotainment system display incorrect and erratic information, including: - Transmission indicator switching into 4WD, Park, or 1st gear while the vehicle is moving - Navigation activating on its own - Screen freezing, glitching, or displaying inaccurate data This defect has occurred multiple times and is unpredictable, making the vehicle unsafe to operate. Repair Attempts: I have taken the vehicle to an authorized Ram dealership on multiple occasions for the same issue: - Repair Attempt #1: 03/20/2025 - Repair Attempt #2: 10/02/2025 - Repair Attempt #3: 10/30/2025 - Repair Attempt #4: 11/17/2025 - Repair Attempt #5: 05/12 2026 The dealership has replaced PCM harness, transfer case control module, DTCM, performed software updates and claimed the issue was resolved, but the defect continues to occur. While driving on the highway, I first noticed the vehicle becoming difficult to steer. The steering felt unusually heavy and sluggish, as if power steering assistance was reduced or failing. Shortly after this began, multiple warning lights illuminated across the dashboard. At that point, braking performance also became severely compromised. The brake pedal felt soft and traveled nearly to the floor with very limited stopping power. The vehicle required significantly increased distance to slow and stop, creating a serious safety hazard in active highway traffic. The combination of reduced steering assist and severely degraded braking performance made the vehicle difficult to control and presented a significant safety risk. I was able to bring the vehicle to a stop and it was later towed to a dealership. At the time of inspection, the battery was found to be dead. I had recently returned from a 5-day trip and the vehicle required a jump start before this driving event. The dealership replaced the battery and stated the vehicle was operating normally after repair. However, the incident involved progressive loss of steering assist followed by significant loss of braking performance at highway speed. I am reporting this as a serious safety concern because multiple critical vehicle control systems were affected while driving. I am concerned about potential recurrence of this issue and the risk it presents to driver and public safety. The vehicle is available for inspection.

I just bought a new Ram Rebel X 2025 in September. I have 7K miles and the front tires are shot due to factory misalignment! Local dealership South Hills Dodge is ZERO HELP. I opened a case with RAM. They said…“You have to drop off your truck at the dealership before we can escalate your case to a case manager”. My truck has been sitting outside the dealership since I dropped it off on Monday 4-27 and hasn’t moved!! The dealership initially said they would cover an alignment under warranty free of charge but not cover 2 new tires which were caused by the misalignment. They then told me I would have to open a case with RAM in order to get the tires paid for. In the meantime, I asked the service manager if he could get me the current alignment readings. He then lied to me and told me they weren’t able to take the current alignment measurements due to the fact that the front tires were so badly worn. I then took it to my local mechanic to get the current alignment readings without fixing anything so I could have this sheet for my records. It not only shows the toe being out of spec on both front tires but shows the Caster being out of spec. Therefore it was set that way when I purchased the vehicle brand new back in September. I talked to my case manager who was never able to get ahold of the dealership!! I was also never able to get a response to multiple questions through their text service. Finally they reach out after my vehicle sat for 4 days and say I have to pay 19.95 for a tire rotation in order to do the alignment. I then chose to take my vehicle to Jim Shorkey and they fix some recalls and RRTs but “needed to talk w case mgr about tire coverage” So then I have it out with this case manager about the amount of time and money I’ve wasted so far and in a nutshell he tells me that the first dealer said tires were not covered under warranty so they can’t cover them! Basically I was sent in a circle of wasted time by RAM corporation “customer service”!!!

The 14.4" Infotainment Screen will freeze randomly during vehicle start-up, make an audible buzzing sound through the speakers, then hard reset. During this time, the camera system is inoperable until the radio finishes resetting, causing reduced visibility around the vehicle when in reverse. No warning lamps or stored codes were present when this issue first occurred. The concern was shared with Friendship CDJR in Johnson City, TN. After inspection of the vehicle, the technician was unable to determine root cause and manually uploaded a software update to the infotainment system to ensure a corrupt file was not uploaded during over-the-air updates. This did not remedy the issue and the infotainment system continues to randomly show this issue.

The vehicle has a dangerous hesitation and delayed acceleration when I am coasting and then reapplying the accelerator. This occurs in scenarios such as approaching a yield, slowing for a left turn on a green light, or slowing to merge where I reduce speed but do not come to a complete stop. When I press the accelerator to resume speed, the vehicle does not respond for a significant period. The truck fails to accelerate even with substantial throttle input, including pressing the pedal to the floor. After the delay, power may return suddenly. This delayed response creates a serious safety hazard in traffic. The hesitation occurs at the exact time immediate acceleration is needed to clear an intersection or merge into traffic. This has created near-miss situations due to the vehicle not accelerating when expected. Warning lights and diagnostics: No check engine light is illuminated during the events. The issue occurs without any visible warning indicators on the instrument panel. Conditions: The hesitation is most noticeable during coasting and throttle reapplication at low to moderate speeds, especially when slowing but not stopping. It is not limited to one specific road or location. Service and repair attempts: The vehicle has been presented to a dealer on 06/30/2025, 07/09/2025, 07/17/2025, 08/01/2025, and 02/06/2026. Additionally, I called and confirm there was no software update, recall, or corrective action to be taken on 03/25/2026. 1. The vehicle suffers from a recurring parasitic battery drain that results in a completely dead 12V battery after the vehicle sits for short periods. This appears to be a software or hardware failure in the Body Control Module (BCM) or Radio Frequency (RF) Hub that prevents the vehicle from entering 'sleep mode.' The vehicle is currently at the dealership getting looked at. But I can have it available for inspection upon request. 2. I regularly commute between Orange County, CA, and Las Vegas, NV. This route involves long stretches of remote desert (I-15) with extreme temperatures often exceeding 100°F and limited cell service. A recurring, unpredictable battery failure in these conditions creates a life-safety risk, as it can leave a driver stranded without climate control or the ability to call for help in a high-heat environment. As a medical professional, the lack of vehicle reliability also impacts my ability to reach clinical assignments safely. 3. Yes. The issue has been documented during three separate service visits to an authorized Ram dealership. On each occasion, the battery was found to be depleted below functional levels. Despite these visits and attempted 're-flashes' of the software, the parasitic drain persists. 4. The vehicle has been inspected and 'serviced' three times by authorized manufacturer representatives (certified Ram dealership technicians). 5. Symptoms first appeared the day after I purchased the vehicle. There were no dashboard warning lights until the battery was too low to crank the engine, at which point 'Electrical System Service Required' and multiple sensors failure errors appeared. I am aware of TSB 08-380-25 (which specifically addresses the BCM re-flash for battery drain) but that it has failed to resolve the issue after three attempts.

FCA - USA has a safety recall for Ram trucks manufactured between 2024 -2026. The towing/trailer module is defective and the trailer lights, turn signals and trailer braking may not function while towing a vehicle. The recall has been effective since Feb. 2, 2026. I have tried to schedule my 2026 Ram truck at two different dealerships and they complain that the cannot get the parts from FCA. My scheduled appointments have been cancelled at least 2 times due to part unavailability. I was told today by a Ram dealer that FCA has advised them FCA is only releasing 1 module per dealership per month. T This is a serious safety issue for those customers that tow trailers as the malfunction could result in accidents and deaths. I find it unacceptable that an automaker can have a serious safety issue and is unable or unwilling to supply the new trailer towing parts/modules that correct the defect.
