They refused to open/inspect the RF Hub, claimed they could not reproduce the intermittent issue, and are attempting to blame an unrelated "star connector." The owner opened the RF Hub casing and photographed clear galvanic solder corrosion and water damage directly under the leak point. Component has not been inspected by police, insurance, or manufacturer reps. I was on the highway when the vehicle alerted me that shift was unavailable then the auto start/stop was unavailable then the airbags were unavailable then my FUEL and my MPH were not reading. My windshield wipers started all on their own and could not be turned off! And my EMERGENCY LIGHTS WERE INOP. I LOST POWER STEERING and was locked in gear! All while in morning rush hour traffic on the highway! The vehicle gave me a notification to get to my destination before turning it off or changing gears because it would not go back into gear. I got off the highway as safely as I could without EMERGENCY LIGHTS OR TURN SIGNALS and proceeded to a stop light. While slowing down I had no steering control. I pulled over and had to force the wheel to turn then I attempted to accelerate to move and had no power. So I was stuck. I had emergency services come and tow my vehicle to Chevrolet of Homewood at that point who is currently looking at it.

019 Ram 1500 5.7L eTorque MGU (Motor Generator Unit) failed on 08/29/2025 at 62,105 miles. Vehicle died on road and would not restart, creating a safety hazard. Dealer confirmed battery was severely discharged due to MGU failure — alternator was not putting out voltage necessary to charge battery, resulting in failed MGU. Vehicle was inoperable for 109 consecutive days (08/29/2025 through 12/16/2025) due to Stellantis parts backorder with no ETA provided. MGU is covered under Federal Emission Warranty (8 years/80,000 miles) per FCA US LLC 2019 Ram 1500 Warranty Booklet Section 5.1B. My sun visors on both the driver and passenger side have fallen down numerous times. When they fall they end up dangling in front of my eyes (more so of course the driver's sun visor). In addition it is an instantaneous alarming moment and when in busy traffic and all of a sudden this suddenly happens and I cannot see it becomes dangerous. I have found out talking to my dealer and online that this is a very common problem on the 5th generation Ram 1500 pickups.

System/Component Malfunction: High-voltage hybrid powertrain system failure. Code P0DAF-00 (Hybrid EV Battery Cell Balancing Circuit) is present and locked in the Hybrid Control Processor (HCP). Vehicle is available for inspection. Safety Risk: Operating a vehicle with an unresolved high-voltage hybrid cell balancing defect poses an immediate safety risk. Cell imbalances can cause sudden loss of motive power at highway speeds, propulsion shutdown, or an increased risk of a thermal event in the high-voltage pack. The manufacturer (Stellantis/RAM Care) refuses to provide a written safety determination, yet the dealer instructed me to continue driving a compromised high-voltage system on public roads until the failure worsens. Dealer Confirmation & Inspection: Confirmed and reproduced by authorized dealer (Ron Tonkin RAM) across multiple visits: Feb 25, 2026 (RO 502329): Code P0DAF-00 present. Dealer performed a BPCM software flash, which failed to resolve the underlying fault. June 2026 (RO 504097): Held for 10 days. Technician documented: "Scanned codes and found code P0DAF-00- Hybrid EV Battery Cell Balancing Circuit present but code is stored (not active) and also not stored in PCM, only the HCP." Tech test-drove 97 miles but corporate engineering (STAR) rules prevent parts authorization until the code migrates from HCP to PCM as an active fault. Dealer explicitly instructed me to drive it until it triggers a hard failure. Warning Lamps & Symptoms: First appeared Feb 25, 2026, via a yellow Check Engine Light. The light intermittently cycles on/off as the computer stores the code, but the underlying high-voltage defect is completely un-repaired.

Driver's side visor fails to stay in place in the ceiling when moving it from front windshield to door window, then after several movements, will fall out of place in the roof into the driver's view without warning obstructing view while driving or startling the driver which could cause an accident. The visor has been replaced once, from the same issue and is now having the same issue again. The visor is available for inspection and still has the issue. The dealer knows there is a problem and has given me a number to order a third visor. This all happens without warning and always while the vehicle is in motion.

This is a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic 4x4 with a hemi engine. the power steering suddenly and with no warning stopped working when my wife was on a winding country road. There was no warning lights on the dash at all. She was unable to turn the steering wheel because the power assist stopped working. This caused her to go into the ditch, where she called me to come help her out of the ditch. I had a very hard time steering it home. We took it to the Ram dealership we bought it from, after we thought we found a recall on it. The Dealership ran our vin, and our truck was not on the recall? But the recall said 2019 Ram 1500? This could have killed someone!!! The Dealership, Parkway Chrysler Doge, Jeep, Ram in Dover Ohio was the dealership we took it to. They informed us, that the steering was shot, and it would take three months to get the steering rack, because of so many steering issues on these trucks. Why have you not stepped in to get this situation corrected?

When driving the truck the power steering would go out and make the truck almost impossible to turn. This is dangerous when driving as you cannot turn, avoid a collision, etc. I've had vehicles without power steering, and this was like the truck is actively pulling against you when trying to turn. The dealership did a diagnostic and said the power steering rack (electronic) needs to be replaced completely as it's going out. I'm not sure if it's related, but I've had other issues before this where my lane assist and cruise control would flash while in use and all turn off while driving down the road as well. There was no obvious check engine light or codes for this, just the occasional shutting off of my systems and power steering while operating the vehicle.

The passenger airbag in my 2019 RAM 1500 (VIN: [XXX] LP: [XXX]) is completely missing. The dashboard was cosmetically repaired to hide the absence, and the warning light was tampered with so no airbag/SRS alert appears. This was only discovered during a recent inspection; I had no prior warning. Inspection by an independent service center is scheduled and I can provide the vehicle for examination upon request. Airbag switch in seat was partially faulty, depending on drivers weight. Dealership pulled code and replaced the new battery with a new battery, then did the steering wheel clockspring, but the final outcome was the weight of the driver and the seat switch for the airbag. The ABS control module and Hydraulic Control module are faulty and available for inspection. My safety is at risk because the vehicle will go into a skid upon hard braking (ABS not fuctioning), the vehicle will spin tires upon acceleration (traction control inoperative). The above listed components have been determined faulty by both the dealership and an independent service center. The component is on national backorder (according to the dealership) due to how common this issue is. The ABS, traction control, and brake light stay illuminated as well as the dashboard "message center". I'm in disbelief of there not being a recall for something so dangerous. I travel for work and tow my travel trailer and now am unable to do so safely. The fact that the modules are on backorder is a testament to how common this issue is.

Vehicle: 2019 Ram 1500 Mileage at Time of Incident: Approximately 88,000 miles The vehicle experienced an intermittent failure of the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system. While operating the vehicle, a "Power Steering Unavailable" warning message appeared, resulting in a loss of power steering assist and significantly increased steering effort. The condition occurred unexpectedly and created a safety risk by reducing the driver's ability to safely maneuver and control the vehicle, particularly during low-speed operation, turning movements, and emergency maneuvers. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Ram dealership (Lander's Dodge Chrysler Jeep Bossier City, LA.) Diagnostic testing identified Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) C2217, which the dealership stated indicates an internal failure of the Electric Power Steering system and/or steering rack assembly. The dealer recommended replacement of the rack and pinion assembly for $2,600 BUT the part was on back order and could take 4 months or more before the part comes in. I'm at a loss. The failed component is available for inspection upon request. The defect placed the driver and other motorists at risk because steering effort increased unexpectedly, reducing vehicle controllability. No prior collision or damage is known to have caused the failure. The dealership has confirmed the condition through diagnostic testing. Manufacturer inspection is UNKNOWN. Police involvement is UNKNOWN. Insurance inspection is UNKNOWN. Prior symptoms included an intermittent "Power Steering Unavailable" warning message. The exact date of the first occurrence is approximately 6 months ago, but after sitting overnight the message disappeared and there was no problem. It happens sporadically. Based on the diagnostic findings and dealer assessment, the apparent cause of the incident is an internal failure of the Electric Power Steering system associated with DTC C2217.

SEVERE SAFETY HAZARD: CASCADING ELECTRICAL FIRE RISK. My 2019 Ram 1500 suffered a catastrophic electrical failure while driving. The alternator's voltage regulator melted, overcharging the system and causing the battery to boil and vent toxic sulfuric acid fumes into the cabin, creating an immediate respiratory and fire hazard. This is the direct result of Manufacturer Defect XL1/XG1 (Rear Window Leak). I have physical dealer records proving Westgate Ram held this vehicle for 19 days in Aug 2022 to fix Water Leak Code 09H2OLEAK. They returned the vehicle claiming it was fixed, but I have geolocated photos showing the window leaking heavily just 17 days later. Because the leak was never resolved, water continuously entered the rear cabin, corroding the RF Hub and creating a parasitic drag that destroyed the electrical grid. CRITICAL NEGLIGENCE: On June 1, 2026, Stellantis Corporate (Case XXX) acknowledged the severity of the fire risk by immediately inquiring if Emergency Services had been contacted, yet subsequently refused to offer a safety tow. When I attempted to escalate, their agents [XXX] , [XXX] , [XXX] , [XXX] ) refused to provide IDs. Furthermore, my phone number is now being rejected by their system; calls to their support line immediately fail or disconnect, leaving a fire-risk vehicle stranded at my residence with no recourse. Per Warranty Bulletin D-23-17 from Mopar, I have a 2019 RAM 1500 that has the EXACT issue that MOPAR has outlined where the Power Sliding Rear window - also known as the Backlite - has a cracked frame. My vehicle has been sitting for 3 1/2 weeks at the dealership as the vehicle's rear window is leaking into the vehicle's interior and RAM/Stellanis/Mopar is not providing an update on covering the extended warranty for this manufacturing defect. A supervisor I spoke with on 5/7/26 last week at RAM confirmed that my vehicle does have the Rear Sliding Rear window addressed in this bulletin and in addition the dealership the vehicle is at has also confirmed the vehicle has the same issue with the cracked frame they've seen many times before and repaired under warranty. They are also requesting MOPAR to cover this. My vehicle is only 6 1/2 years old and well under the 8 year/150k mile extension they are providing this fix for. My 2019 Ram 1500 equipped with the eTorque system experienced a sudden failure involving the eTorque/hybrid system at approximately 88,000 miles. The failure caused the vehicle to become disabled and left my [XXX] daughter and me stranded on a busy roadway, creating a serious safety hazard. The vehicle required towing and diagnosis by an authorized Ram dealership. I was informed that the failure involved the eTorque system/components and was required to pay approximately $3,298 for repairs. After researching the issue, I discovered numerous similar complaints involving Ram 1500 eTorque system failures, including reports of sudden shutdowns, loss of power, and expensive repairs. There are also pending lawsuits and NHTSA investigations involving these systems. I believe this represents a widespread safety-related defect involving the Ram eTorque system and request that NHTSA investigate these failures further. Whenever I refuel my truck the pressure in the fuel tank causes fuel to spit out of the fill neck. It is a common, known, issue among RAM trucks involving the fuel line. It takes me 20 to fill the tank up because of this issue, and I’m constantly having the fuel spitting out at me and the ground. This is a safety/fire hazard that needs to be addressed by RAM. Apparently the only fix is to replace the entire tank which is costly and frustrating. RAM acknowledges this yet they won’t fix the issue, and requires the owners to pay out of pocket to fix this. Being a safety hazard they should be on the hook for the cost. Thought it was a minor issue for a while that would only happen on occasion , but now it’s happening every time I try to fill. That’s when I did the research and found this is a normal issue. The dealer wants to charge me just for them to diagnose the issue before they will repair it.

Initially while taking a corner at low speed the truck made a clunk and grinding noise which resolved and then while going about 50 mph the grinding noise recurred which prompted stopping the vehicle on the side of the road and when almost to a stop, the wheels locked up causing a slight skid; the vehicle was in 4-wheel auto at the time and with change between 4wd and 2wd serveral times the front tires unlocked and i was able to drive it again. About 4 days later, while driving 70 mph, the vehicle started to make a grinding noise on the interstate, and I started to slow down, but unfortunately, I was on the left side of the highway on a narrow shoulder, and upon getting to a lower speed while in 2WD, my front axle locked up. I placed the vehicle in park, but due to safety concerns, I put the truck back in drive and tried to switch from 2WD to 4WD to unlock the axle, but unfortunately, the truck would not change gears. I then had to quickly get the vehicle to the other side during a time with fewer vehicles, while the left front tire was locked, and I had to drag it across the highway to ensure my safety. The left front tire remained locked, and after multiple attempts, the brake partially unlocked but continued to make a grinding and clunking noise. After some diagnostics, we determined the left front wheel hub was the issue, overheating and locking up. I reached out to mechanics for quotes on repair of said part, and upon reaching out to the dealer that I have used in the past for recalls and oil changes, I was informed there was a recall on said part/software that I was not aware of; the service rep used the last 8 of my VIN to look up my vehicle for the quote and provided the details about the recall. I use the RAM Guardian App which provides updates about recalls and upon checking it does not show a recall nor does it show a recall when i search my VIN and License Plate on the website. This seems to be a common issue based on customer reviews.

My 2019 Ram 1500 has had a failed ABS control module for several months, which disables critical safety features including ABS, traction control, and cruise control. While entering the interstate on an on-ramp during light rain and under normal driving conditions, the loss of traction control contributed to a sudden loss of stability, causing the rear of the truck to break loose and the vehicle to spin. I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall repair on my 2019 Ram 1500 (VIN: [XXX] ). The vehicle was brought to an authorized dealership for a safety recall related to the ABS system. At the time of the initial visit, there were no warning lights or system faults present. After the recall repair was performed, multiple warning lights and system errors appeared that were not present prior to service. The vehicle has since been returned to the dealership on three separate occasions, and the issue remains unresolved. The dealership has now indicated a potential wiring harness issue but claims this is not related to the recall. They have requested approximately $1,200 for further diagnostic work, which we declined. The manufacturer, Stellantis, has stated that the recall for this VIN is closed and has declined to intervene, characterizing the situation as a dispute between the customer and dealership. Manufacturing defect in the rear window frame (Backlite) causing severe water intrusion. Water is pooling directly onto the RF Hub (Radio Frequency Hub) electrical module and wiring harness. Intermittent total electrical communication failure ('No Bus' error) triggered by warm weather. While driving at any speed, the instrument cluster gauges drop to zero and the vehicle loses all control of turn signals, hazards, cruise control, and windshield wipers. This has created several near-miss situations in traffic and rain. The failure also prevents the vehicle from starting. Despite multiple dealership visits and an open Star Case, the manufacturer has failed to provide a remedy for this safety-critical defect.

Larson Dodge in Puyallup stated they see approximately three Rams in weekly for this issue including my vehicle 1500. On March, while I was leaving to take my children to school, I discovered a loud, heavy metallic knocking sound coming from the engine of my 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. As I depressed the gas pedal, the knocking frequency increased immediately with the engine RPMs. Prior to this total failure, I had noticed the truck feeling hesitant and "stuttering" when I was trying to accelerate from red lights in the days leading up to the incident. ​Because I was concerned the engine would stall or fail completely while my children were in the vehicle, I immediately stopped driving it. A subsequent inspection at Don White’s CDJR confirmed DTC P051B-00 (Crankcase Pressure Sensor Performance). This fault is a recognized indicator of excessive crankcase pressure, which NHTSA has identified as a precursor to sudden engine stalling and fire risks in 3.0L EcoDiesel engines (Ref: Recall 19V-757).

While driving, the steering gets really tight, feeling like the power steering is going to fail. Sometimes it is much worse than others. It is intermittent. No warning lights and no messages at all. We called V & H for service, they'd fix it but wouldn't look into the recall for other 2019 1500 Ram trucks. Our vehicle does not have the recall, but we would like to see about expanding the recall for us to be included or even have Chrysler help with the cost of the repair since it was a known issue with the 2019 1500 Ram trucks.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Jeep Wrangler and Ram 2500, 2019-2020 Ram 1500 and 2020 Jeep Gladiator vehicles. In the event of a crash, a front seat belt retractor may not properly slow the occupant's forward movement after locking.

Risk: In the event of a crash, if the front seat belts fail to lock, there is an increased risk of injury.

Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front seat belt retractors, free of charge. The recall began November 12, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is W67.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Ram 3500, Ram 1500, 2016-2020 Ram 2500, and 2016 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis vehicles. The right and left side curtain air bag inflators may rupture due to a manufacturing defect.

Risk: An inflator rupture may result in sharp metal fragments striking occupants, resulting in injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace one or both side curtain air bags, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 13, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's numbers for this recall are 05C, 09C, and 10C.
