2019 Honda Accord

My car was stalling on the highway not going over 40, a perfectly maintained 88k mile car that is stock and only used for work and light leisure. The weak engine head gasket is to blame for coolant seeping into cyclinder 3. A very known defect with the 1.5 turbocharged engines recently. The safety of me and passengers was at risk because that’s a 50mph+ highway and my car didn’t go to 50. Yes the problem was confirmed by dealership / manufacturer. Zero warning lights to this day.

I can’t drive the car normal have to drive 60mph or under the radio went out and Honda can’t seem to figure out why so I can’t connect CarPlay. Myself and my kids are at risk due to the car randomly cutting off at any given time. I took it to Honda twice and my car has not been checked they constantly say they’re backed up but don’t have any rentals in stock. Can’t get the car inspection done because the lights are on. A motor mount bolt sheared causing the engine to shift violently making the vehicle undrivable. The car was driving in a residential area traveling at a low rate of speed, making a right turn when it occurred. Had it happened on a highway, the result could have been catastrophic. The car was towed to the dealer where it was purchased. The dealer stated that since the vehicle was out of warranty, they would not make any exceptions. We have reported this to Honda Corporate and are waiting for a response but felt that because of the safety concerns we should also report this to NHTSA. The head gasket has failed and Honda knows this is an issue. There is a lawsuit in California about the head gasket failing. With it failing the whole engine is at risk for being ruined. This is going to cost $4000-$10,000 for people to fix depending on the damage it causes the engine. I personally lost acceleration on the freeway while going up a hill and everyone around me going 65-80 mph. I have 11 warning lights on my car right now and it started overheating today with a warning stating that the engine was hot and to stop driving immediately. We had to get towed to the mechanic for the 2nd time this week. When searching online I realized this was a known issue and about the class action lawsuit.

I have a 2019 Honda Accord Sport 1.5. I was driving on the freeway last week and my car did not allow me to accelerate anymore. Car went to an unsafe highway speed and it was hard to get to a shoulder where can safely stop. I felt my safety was compromised by this issue. I have a 2019 Honda Accord the paint is completely chipping off and the clear coat on the roof and the hood is completely gone they had a recall on the white models doing the same thing I have the midnight pearl blue color the car is 7 years old I haven't even had it 5 years take very well care of it brought it to the Honda dealership in Palm harbor Florida the service manager Jared sent me over to the Buick dealer to get an estimate of almost $6,500 is what it would cost to get this fixed I've been trying to contact them for the last 3weeks never received a phone call back or heard anything and then in order for me to file a claim through the corporate of Honda I had to go and get the estimate from the gentleman at the Buick dealer and have an email sent to me because they refuse to contact me.. this doesn't even include everything else that I've had wrong with the vehicle prior to all this I've had to replace the head gasket fuel injectors bring the head of the motor to a machine shop to have it shaved down because there was a big gash from the manufacturer instead of them pulling the plastic off you could see someone cut it which ended up costing me another $300 this has been nothing but a nightmare. You can see on the edging of the hood all the paint is coming off and all on the edge of the back window and roof.. on top of paying almost $30,000 for this vehicle not even 5 years later this is the only vehicle that I own and the reason I bought it was because I thought it was going to be reliable it's been nothing but problems I take very well care of the vehicle always have it detailed and clean it's barely parked in the sun I have a carport it's always in the shade this is not from the Sun this is due to a defect from the factory when they painted it it's happening to other colors on the same make and model vehicle.. I am submitting a safety complaint regarding my 2019 Honda Accord LX. While driving, a yellow “Brake System” warning light appeared on the dashboard. Complaint Regarding Ongoing Issues After Turbocharger Repair – 2019 Honda Accord I am submitting a complaint regarding ongoing issues with my 2019 Honda Accord after a turbocharger-related repair. The initial diagnostic code associated with the vehicle was P2563 (Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance). After the turbocharger/wastegate repair, my vehicle began displaying multiple system warnings, including: * Emissions System Problem * ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) warning * Collision Mitigation System warning * Lane Departure/Lane Keeping Assist warning * Electric Power Steering warning * Stability/traction control warnings * TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) warning After the repair, the vehicle began jerking and experiencing a loss of power. Multiple warning lights appeared. While the warning lights temporarily cleared after a couple of vehicle restarts, they later returned and continue to reoccur. I subsequently took the vehicle to Honda, where I was informed that a sensor required recalibration. Despite having the sensor recalibrated, the issues have continued, and the warning lights continue to return. I am requesting that Honda investigate whether the repair, wiring, sensors, modules, calibration, or the turbocharger system itself may have contributed to these ongoing problems. I have also noticed that many Honda Accord owners are reporting similar turbocharger-related issues and multiple warning lights appearing. This appears to be a very common issue among affected vehicles, and I believe it warrants further investigation to determine if there is a larger underlying problem affecting these vehicles. SRS weight sensor failure-- triggers the dashboard warning light and disables my passenger airbag. My SRS light is on continuously. There is a current Honda recall for this issue for my make and model; however, do to my VIN not being listed, the Honda dealership wants to charge me a diagnostic fee plus the repair costs for the exact issue that the current recall is listed for. My VIN needs to be added. I should not have to come out of pocket to pay for this when I'm having the exact issue listed in the recall. My SRS light being on continuously is a MAJOR Safety concern because it disables the airbags--so in the event of an accident, the airbags will not deploy. I contacted Honda Corporate and they created a case--Case number 16432964 for this issue--but they told me it would be possibly months to get anything done and I would still have to pay out of pocket first. My Honda has experienced repeated failures of the front headlamps due to moisture accumulating inside the assembly. In addition the failures of the headlamps caused a fuse to blow rendering the turn signals inoperable. This is dangerous because it limits visibility at night, inability to signal other cars of turning. this first happened in 2024 and happened again in 2026. These conditions were confirmed by an independent repair shop. Honda service refused to make any consideration for the problem. The replacement of each headlamp is very expensive, over $1000.00. There were no warnings prior to the failure. the vehicle did display a message that there was a problem with the head lights once they failed.

While driving my 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid at highway speed, the engine suddenly suffered catastrophic failure. The engine block ruptured, leaving a large visible hole with internal engine components exposed. Oil was expelled into the engine bay and ignited/burned briefly. This occurred without prior warning at highway speed and created a sudden loss-of-propulsion hazard. While driving, my Check Engine light cam on suddenly, along with my entire dashboard lighting up with all kinds of warning lights. At that moment, the engine ran very rough while attempting to push the accelerator pedal to maneuver out of traffic, feeling like there was no power. With that, I also noticed the temperature gauge start to increase towards the hot limit, though there was no venting of steam from the radiator. I stopped my car on the side, turned the car off, and waited u til it cooled down before attempting to start it again. When driving down a state highway in town, about 40-45mph, with no cars or objects in front of me and within the lanes - aka nothing unusual - my dash lit up with the orange "BRAKE!" warning and then slammed on my brakes. I had no idea at the time that my vehicle could even do that, as I'd had it at least three years and, while I'd had false warnings because of a line on the road or something, it had never done that. Luckily, there were not cars close behind me, because it was disorienting and took a moment to realize what was happening and adjust my driving to correct it. It was incredibly concerning, and I searched for what feature would even do that and how I could turn it off. I've told many people about it since, as it's the kind of thing that makes using "safety features" of a vehicle untrustworthy, let alone what could've happened had there been cars behind me at that moment.

10th Gen Honda Accord has a major engine design flaw allowing coolant to pass through the gasket mixing with fuel in the cylinders causing premature head gasket repair which also puts the injectors under immense stress due to high compression. While driving my 2019 Honda accord to the dealership for inspection. All the lights started flashing on the dash. Highlighting - Critical failure detected please stop driving when safe. After a few mins the car’s infotainment system shut off no electrical activity and the car shut off mid drive. Luckily, it was in the morning and not during peak traffic congestion. Had I been going on the expressway I could’ve harmed myself, or someone else. This is highly unacceptable that a car with only 96k miles has a serious engine issue like this. I have maintained the oil changes at the required intervals, changed the fuel pump under recall, tires, brakes etc. After towing to the dealership. Diagnostics were performed and it was confirmed that the coolant was empty and radiator low. Which then prompted the dealer to perform a borescope test for the cylinders and it was found that cylinder 3 had a misfire and was leaking coolant into the cylinders causing premature wear on the gasket as well. The car is out of warranty and the service advisor said to me that they had another Honda just like mine with the same issue. This isn’t an isolated incident and many owners with the 10th gens have the same exact issue nationwide and Honda turns a blind eye and expects us to pay over 6,000 for the repair it’s a total scam! They are making money hand over fist without any recall and just scamming their customers. This is truly unacceptable and should be investigated immediately and Honda reprimanded!

Steering gear box. UNKNOWN. For some time now I've noticed that my steering has been acting very unusual on a straight away. I would describe it as a sticky feeling. Just checking, have your ever heard of this on Hondas? Could this possibly be a safety issue?

On 5-11-26, I was driving and the vehicle just stopped in the middle of the roadway. I couldn’t go in drive or reverse, just sitting with engine running.No warning lights, no noise, or anything that would let me know there was a problem. Cars was coming up behind me and in front. I called a towi truck, and a police officer. The officer pushed me off the road way, and the car was towed.

When driving home one night the dash board in the car all of a sudden hade a lot of warning lights come on. I brought it to my mechanic to have a look at it and he suggested to change the spark plugs and the coils which was done and he cleared the codes. About two days later I went to go to work and once again all the warning lights on the the dash board come on and it wouldn't drive over 5 MPH. The mechanic went deeper into the problem he said it was cylinder # 3 that had a misfire and the fuel injectors needed to be changed which was done($1,000 later). A week went buy no lights on the dash came on but it has a rough start and when you get to about 40 MPH the car starts to hastate to move. this time i brought it Rick Case Honda to have it looked at and they are telling me it is now the head gasket on cylinder # 3 has a hair line crack and needs to be changed ($7,400) To remove and replace the head gasket. This happened over multiple weeks between bowering cars waiting for parts. Now i have find a way to pay a $7,400 bill

Upon recent repairs completed by an Official Honda licensed dealership for the fuel pump due to the related issue of stalling, misfiring, insufficient fuel economy and safety concern. My vehicle has continued to stall, misfire or idle extremely rough. Upon local investigation the error code P0203 and P0303 have populated as the most recent issue. No longer allowing me to drive the vehicle as it remains in limp mode. Previously error codes such as P0304 and P0302 as well as the associated error codes for the Injector Circuits indicating “open” have previously been detected intermittently and now permanently. In previous events within the last 3 months I have been stranded on highways due to the same stalling, misfiring and limp mode issue after I have previously been inspected by a Honda dealership and promised the issues would resolve. Unfortunately driving at respectable highway speeds and even local city limits my safety as well as my child and spouse’ safety have been put at risk due to the sudden deceleration caused by consistent misfires or limp mode effect which can cause me to have a collision with no warning. I have nearly been in 3 accidents due to this persistent issue.

Vehicle was being driven on the highway when suddenly engine hesitated and started stalling. Speed was reduced from around 65MPH down to the low 40s. Cars were stacking up behind and passing, causing potential hazardous conditions. Vehicle was taken to a mechanic shop and diagnosed with misfiring, after reading OBD II with many alerts coming on. Further diagnostics revealed cylinder head gasket was leaking coolant into engine, as shown by borescope images. This is a known problem on 2018-2020 Honda Accords with both 1.5T & 2.0 engines. The multiple alert messages started to come on a few weeks ago, but the engine hesitation and stalling just started this week. At first we suspected a 12V battery issue, but testing confirmed battery was at 12.8V with no issues.

The sunroof glass of the vehicle literally exploded on me, while i was driving. Thankfully i had sunshades on which isn't very normal it just happened to be sunnier this morning driving towards work. I had this inspected at Napleton Schaumburg Mazda a dealership, and the point of failure was the vehicle. There were no cracked or any prior damage before hand.

A manufacturing issue with the front seat belts may cause the seat belt buckle channel to interfere with the release button, preventing the seat belt buckle from latching.

Risk: An unlatched seat belt cannot properly restrain the seat occupant during a crash, increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the driver and front passenger seat belt buckle release buttons or the buckle assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Accord Sedan, Accord Hybrid, and 2019-2020 Insight vehicles. A software error may cause intermittent or continuous disruptions in communication between the Body Control Module (BCM) and other components. This may result in malfunctions of various systems such as the windshield wipers and defroster, rearview camera, exterior lights, audible warning of a stopped vehicle, and power window operation. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems" and number 111, "Rear Visibility" as well as FMVSS numbers 104, 108, 114, 118, and 305.

Risk: Various system malfunctions such as inoperative windshield wipers, defroster, rearview camera, or exterior lighting can increase the risk of a crash.
