An accident occurred in my vehicle on 05/29/2026. It resulted in both air bags deploying even though the passenger side that was involved in the collision and damaged. It was considered a total loss due to the frame and passenger side as well as both air bags deployments. The driver sustained major lacerations on his forearm and was bleeding profusely from his arm during the time of the accident. The vehicle did not have comprehensive insurance therefore had to be salvaged and sold to the junk yard.

Same complaint as others with ABS Module failing. I’ve been going to Honda dealerships for the past 4 years feeling like my car just wasn’t riding right. No one ever mentioned anything about this problem. Last visit was 3 weeks ago at Walker Honda in Alexandria La. and same thing…car is perfect no problems found. 2 weeks later all these lights came on the dash same as the others and they never mentioned this problem! I’m a single grandmother raising 2 grandchildren (with no help), taking care of disabled mother and work for the state so I don’t make much money. This is my only vehicle. I love my Honda but seriously thinking of going with another brand for the fact these Honda dealerships don’t disclose this to you. Every dealership I’ve gone to has never mentioned this problem everyone seems to have with the same Honda vehicle with the same problem! Honda care…after they get the money for that vehicle they’re done unless there is more money to make off you.

I was driving down the road and when i tried to hit the throttle to speed up a little suddenly the car just started misfiring randomly with zero warning beforehand. I tried to hit the throttle a couple more times but it kept misfiring and then the engine light, tpms light, traction control light and a couple other lights all lit up and i immediately had to pull over to the side of the road because it was extremely dangerous. i will also add that i had just got off the freeway maybe two minutes prior and it would've been a completely different story if that had happen then. I have an OBD scanner in my car and i immediately pulled it out to check what the codes were which it was a single code all around P0087. The high pressure fuel pump had completely died in the middle of me driving and was not even allowing a test when i took it in for a diagnostic. i replaced the high pressure fuel pump and it completely resolved the car issues and the codes went away immediately. i still have the faulty pump in my possession to. be inspected by someone if needed. the only reason a crash or something extremely tragic didn't happen is because it was later at night and the cars behind me happen to be a decent enough distance for me to be able to get over to put my car in a safer position to not obstruct the road and get a tow truck to assist me.

2015 Honda Accord EX-L presenting with constant knocking in the lower back part of the engine. Knocking varies with engine RPMs and is consistent across all drives. Oil has been maintained and at time of checking full, oil presented with copper fragments within the oil meaning a rod bearing has failed. Engine is a, 3.5L 6Cyl GAS J35Y1 Naturally Aspirated, not currently covered by the NHTSA 23V-751 recall, yet presents with all the same symptoms and engine failure issues described by J35Y6 users. FCW warning lights - "system failed" - repeatedly flashing along with several other warning lights - steering, brake , ABS, LDW - suddenly appeared. This is an ABS module fail. From all the research I have done, this is a reoccuring problem in Hondas. The wiring is too small, delicate and the part / module needs to be recalled and replaced with more substational wiring . This is very dangerous and extremely frightening for a driver as there is no warning other than when lights appear. I am reporting suspected odometer fraud and possible VIN [XXX] entation involving a vehicle being offered for sale. The seller stated the vehicle has approximately 123,000 miles. However, a vehicle history report and third-party valuation (Carvana) show the same vehicle VIN [XXX] ) wi [XXX] les recorded. This is a discrepancy of more than 180,000 miles. I personally photographed the VIN plate on the vehicle and confirmed the VIN [XXX] ) matches the h [XXX] ing high mileage. The seller did not disclose the higher mileage and is advertising the vehicle at a value consistent with a much lower-mileage vehicle. This appears to be an intentional misrepresentation of the vehicle’s true mileage. I have screenshots of the listing, seller communications stating 123,000 miles, VIN [XXX] ) photos, and documentatio [XXX] er mileage history. 1. POWER STEERING RACK 2. ABS MODULATOR My 2015 Honda Accord experienced a sudden failure of both the ABS system and power steering rack. The dealership confirmed the failure was not due to neglect or wear. Due to the safety risk the repair estimate exceeding $14,000 for the safety system and regular repairs, I was forced to trade in the vehicle. Driving and without warning steering light came on, display flickered, engine surged, and complete loss of steering in a matter seconds. In 2017, my vehicle was part of a Honda recall for the battery sensor. I had the recall service completed at Colerain Honda in Cincinnati, OH. Honda marked recall repair as completed in 2017, but the same defect has been ongoing since 2021 through today. I have had to replace multiple alternators and batteries, believing the recall repair (battery sensor issue) was properly resolved, but the issue persists. This raises concern that the recall work was either not done correctly or not done at all. The dealership has refused to provide records or assistance, leaving me to cover repair costs throughout the years. This is a safety and reliability concern that remains unresolved. When I contacted the dealership, they were unable or unwilling to provide documentation of the actual recall repair outside of "it's been completed, we can't see back that far", leaving me uncertain whether the work was properly performed and how they did it. I was also treated rudely and dismissed when requesting answers or proof. This raises a potential safety risk: If the recall repair was never done, my vehicle is still at risk of electrical fire or failure. If the repair was improperly performed, it could leave me and other drivers in danger. I am requesting NHTSA investigate whether Honda and Colerain Honda fulfilled their recall obligations in this case.

Another vehicle pulled in front of my vehicle, I was unable to avoid the accident and struck the left side rear of his vehicle with my left front. The drivers side air bag did NOT deploy but the passengers side did deploy. I was wearing my seat belt as was my passenger in the right front seat, I also had a passenger in the right rear seat area and none of us were injured. I've been in contact with a couple body shops and the body shop where it's located and all of them said the drivers side air bag should have definitely deployed. No air bag lights were on prior to the accident as well as no other warning lamps. If I hadn't been wearing my seat belt I would have sustained injuries. The car is most likely totaled, the estimate is over $ 18000 and I am waiting for the insurance company to make a settlement offer.

Multiple issues having to do with battery replacement, Alternator, and starter. Discussed this same issue with Honda they have ignored the issue had the vehicle inspected by dealership multiple times and by local mechanics. The vehicles also for many years would lock steering wheel and starter would lock wouldn't allow driver to start also when vehicle starts it’s a full force at once and you feel the force. I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved and hazardous safety issue tied to a federally mandated recall on my 2015 Honda Accord (Recall #KH0 – Battery Management Sensor). The recall was eventually performed, but only after inappropriate pushback from the dealer due to my vehicle having a salvage title — which is irrelevant under federal recall law. The core issue is that this sensor regulates the electrical system and can cause overcharging or undercharging — which in my case, led to premature alternator failure. Honda’s own Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 17-069) acknowledges the link between BMS failure and electrical system damage. Furthermore, Honda’s own documentation acknowledges that many customers — particularly used car or private party buyers — were never properly notified of the Battery Management Sensor (BMS) recall. As a result, these customers may be unjustly denied warranty or reimbursement claims, through no fault of their own. This applies directly to my case. I had already replaced the alternator out of pocket due to failure, long before I was ever informed of the recall. Once I became aware of the issue and brought the car in, I was relieved that Honda performed the BMS recall repair, which resolved the dashboard alerts. However, it is unfair and unacceptable that Honda refuses to cover the damage the faulty system caused prior to the recall being completed — especially when I was never properly notified in the first place. On June 17, 2025, I went with my mechanic to inspect a car I was considering purchasing. The vehicle is a 2015 Honda Accord Sport, showing approximately 60,000 miles on the odometer. My mechanic performed a diagnostic scan, and everything appeared to be in good working order at the time. However, on June 23, 2025, I went to the DMV to register the vehicle, and I was informed that the car has a fraudulent odometer reading. I own a 2015 Honda Accord EX-L V6 3.5L that I purchased brand new from the dealership with zero miles. I’ve taken excellent care of the vehicle, and because I typically drive short distances, it only has 93,000 miles as of June 2025. Despite the low mileage and proper maintenance, the intake manifold plenum (part #17160-5G0-A00) now needs to be replaced due to significant deterioration. The material used for this part is poorly made, it corrodes and breaks down over time, causing vacuum leaks. This is a well-documented, widespread issue in Honda vehicles globally. In my case, the deterioration has caused performance and safety concerns and has rendered my car undrivable. To make matters worse, this part is on national backorder with no estimated delivery date. I’ve contacted numerous dealerships and suppliers with no success, leaving me without a working vehicle or timeline for repair. I rely on this car for transportation, work, and daily responsibilities. It is extremely frustrating that a critical engine component is both defective and unavailable, especially when so many other Honda owners are facing the same problem. I am filing this complaint to raise awareness and request a timely investigation and resolution.

ABS Modulator Assembly has left me stranded I see that this has been a major issue for Honda's. There has not been any recalls for this issue but they see that it is a major problem. The ABS Light, steering light, FCW, LDW, and brake light came on. I did not experience anything indicating an issue with the car before this happened. I took my car to Open Road Honda in Edison, NJ. The dealer performed a diagnostic test which showed the module(solenoid) had fried. This resulted in the "VSA" System warning lights to appear (ABS Light, steering light, FCW, LDW, and brake warning lights to show). The car is pretty much undriveable without getting this repaired. Because the VSA Solenoids are built inside the ABS Modulator, they can not be replaced separately. The cost to repair this, $3800 with an initial Diagnostic fee was $250. There are multiple complaints I found in YouTube, Reddit, and other blogs stating the same issue even for cars under 100k miles. The transmission on my 2015 Honda Accord failed and I was stranded on the side of the road. The engine started to accelerate on its own and soon after the gas peddle was not working and I was forced to pull over. My safety was put at risk because I had to pull over on the highway late at night and was stranded. The transmission failed and the issue code is P1890. I found details on this known issue here: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10084981-2280.pdf There is no recall but it is a known issue, and I believe it is dangerous for Honda to allow these cars to remain on the road without new transmissions. According to the link I posted before, the only fix is a new transmission. I believe this should be issued as a recall so other Accord owners (2014-2016 years) do not face the same problem as I did. Car was in accident late August 2024. Car was brought to Honda dealership in Harrisonburg, VA. Repairs were made early September 2024 except for driver seat belt. Part is currently still on backorder with Honda (today is 1/16/2025). A case (#XXX) has been opened with Honda Corporate but part has no estimated date available. Car can not be driven as it is not legal or safe to drive without part. Part must be a new part, no used or remanufactured part is acceptable. Honda continues to produce new vehicles with seat belts but they are not providing required safety parts for existing cars. The contact owns a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving 25 MPH, there was an abnormal knocking sound coming from the engine compartment, and the vehicle started to vibrate, and almost stalled. The contact’s daughter safely drove to the residence, and the vehicle was towed to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that there were two engine cylinders that were inoperable, and that the engine needed to be disassembled for additional diagnostic testing. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V121000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 93,466.

Faulty starter which went and was replaced at least twice by previous owner. Upon 2nd replacement of starter by me, the car still would not run. It was determined by my mechanic that this was a bigger issue and probably the torque converter had been ruined by the starter as the wheel was missing and had broken teeth due to impact of the starter. Honda dealership/maintenance confirmed this and the torque converter and starter needed to be replaced. This cost me $4500, not to mention the previous starters and labor. Honda confirmed after market starters cause damage to the torque wheel/converter. Many mechanics use aftermarket parts, as they are more affordable for the consumer. Honda should have specific notes on this, as to not cause damage to the vehicle. Honda would not cover the costs, as they said my car was no longer under warranty at 155,000 miles. However the starter had been replaced before 100,000 another time.

This has happened twice now, seemingly out of the blue and seemingly since the Honda dealership replaced the car’s faulty starter and torque wheel. The electric power steering light comes on, the steering becomes stiff and the car hard to control. Luckily the first time, it was quick and then went away. I was rounding a corner and the car became difficult to control. I was going between 35-40 mph. The second time I was going 15-20 mph. I went over the railroad track which caused a slight bump, the power steering light came on and it became difficult to control the car. I pulled over to the side of the road and into a parking lot best I could. I turned the engine off and on again. I tried to move the steering wheel but it was still stiff. I turned the car off again and it seemed ok. I am lucky I was not traveling at 80 mph on the highway or couldn’t control the car in a different situation.

While I was driving my 2015 Honda accord my car suddenly slowed down. Then it stopped driving so I pulled to the side of the road. When I stopped and put it in park to turn off/on it didn’t move an inch. This happened on my way to work in traffic I have no idea what is going on. I’m located in the US Virgin Islands but the car was shipped down from Florida to here. We have an Honda dealership that I can carry it to if necessary for inspection. My safety at moment was very risky because I was on my way to work and it had traffic all of a sudden my car slows down with me on the highway without any warnings or indications that it was failing so I was really scared at the moment because I had to think fast to get myself to the side of the road. I haven’t carried it to a dealer as yet because I haven’t had time to do so. None of the superior authorities have inspected or has inspected my car since it has happened I called for opinions some said it could be transmission failure. They where no symptoms of any warning signs or indications that my vehicle was going to give out it just stopped moving.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2013-2015 Accord vehicles equipped with a 4-cylinder engine and a continuously-variable transmission that were originally sold, or ever registered, in Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. The drive shafts were assembled with a lubricant that may have degraded the drive shafts' protective coating, making it more susceptible to damage from road salt or other contaminants, and potentially cause it to break.

Risk: A broken drive shaft may cause a sudden loss of drive power. The vehicle could also roll away if the parking brake has not been applied before the vehicle has been exited. Either condition can increase the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the drive shafts, replacing both the left and right drive shafts, if necessary, free of charge. The recall began February 4, 2021. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138.

American Honda Motor Co. (Honda) is recalling certain model year 2014 Accord L4 vehicles manufactured July 29, 2014, to July 31, 2014, 2015 Accord L4 vehicles manufactured August 14, 2014, to January 30, 2015, and 2015 CR-V vehicles manufactured September 9, 2014, to February 6, 2015. The affected vehicles may have been assembled with improperly torqued connecting rod bolts, which can cause the engine to lose power or leak oil.

Risk: Loss of engine power may result in a vehicle stall, increasing the risk of a crash. If the engine leaks oil in the proximity of hot engine or exhaust components, there is an increased risk of a fire.

Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the engine short block, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2015. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is JP2 (for Accord models) and JP3 (for CR-V models).

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Honda Accord vehicles. The case for the battery sensor, part of the battery management system, may allow water to get in, potentially causing an electrical short.

Risk: An electrical short increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the sensor, free of charge. Dealers will perform an interim remedy of applying adhesive to the case to prevent water intrusion. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Acura MDX, 2015-2019 Acura TLX and 2015-2017 Honda Accord vehicles, equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine. Particulates in fuel may adhere to the internal components of the fuel pump, reducing its performance.

Risk: Reduced fuel pump performance can result in an engine stall, increasing the risk of crash.

Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will update the fuel injection engine control unit (FI-ECU) software and, if necessary, replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

Risk: Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
