Driving on highway, torrential storm started, difficulty seeing with windshield wipers going, slowed and attempted to move to slow lane. Car hydroplaned, did 360, and hit guard rail. Airbags did not deploy. Report from collision company with pictures. No warnings etc prior to wreck. Car was totaled.

The contact owns a 2022 Lexus UX Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the braked malfunctioned and the vehicle failed to slow down as needed. After continuously depressing the brake pedal for approximately five seconds, the braked activated and the vehicle stopped. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 10,000.
