I am filing an urgent safety complaint regarding a defective Bridgestone tire on my 2021 Lexus UX250h, purchased new in 2021. At 32,000 miles, the [front left] tire shows abnormal tread tearing and separation, while the other tires show normal wear. This is not consistent with standard aging and indicates a potential defect and not normal wear. My attempts to Resolve it was following Bridgestone’s warranty process through Lexus and a Bridgestone dealer. Bridgestone dealer inspected the tire and blamed alignment, despite recent alignment and proper rotations done at Discount Tire Center on October 8,2025 and regularly. The wheel alignment did not show any tear. According to Lexus, Bridgestone denied the claim based solely on mileage without addressing abnormal tread separation (pls request Bridgestone response from Lexus). The tire poses serious and immediate safety risk of sudden failure, especially in rain, creating danger of a blowout, loss of control, or vehicle damage. I need to replace the tire immediately for safety. If your office requires inspection, please notify me as soon as possible so I can retain it. Tire info: Bridgestone Turanza EL450 BL 225/50R18 95V

225/50/18 Tires have less that 2000 miles on them and they are pealing at the treads. Literally whole chunks are falling off the tires…looks like someone has been picking and pulling off pieces of my tires.

Tires came new with car in 2021. The two front tires are chunking. Back tires appear to be fine. Car is not out of alignment, has never been in an accident, no off roading or parking on gravel surfaces. Took it to a Lexus dealer and service rep. says he's never seen a car like this. I contacted Bridgestone, they say there are no recalls - call reference number is [XXX] . INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Rear glass window is much to dark in standard oem built in tint into window. Can only see out clearly in broad day light otherwise much too dark. We have been involved in several near back up collisions even though we have a back up camera, we are used to looking back through the rear window and outside rear view mirrors. We have complained to Toyota by phone and checked for recalls. WE like the to have this rear window replaced with an oem like window with minimal tint. We have no safe options other than to trade in this SUV. The consumer stated the tint was removed and there is no longer a safety concern with the windows. However, the consumer does have concern with the vehicle having a spare tire well but no spare tire located in the vehicle.

I'VE OWNED SEVERAL LEXUS HYBRID VEHICLES. I HAVE LOVED THEM ALL EXCEPT THE LAST, A 2021 LEXUS UX WHICH, I LATER FOUND, CAME WRAPPED WITH AN UNWELCOME SURPRISE. WITHOUT HAVING TO POUR THROUGH 107 PAGES OF THE FEDERAL REGISTER, I'D LIKE TO KNOW IF ANY OF THE CREATORS OF THE FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 141 HAD ANY IDEA OF THE UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES THIS RULE WOULD SURELY PRESENT. ITS PURPOSE IS OBVIOUS. BUT THE HEAVY-HANDED WAY IT HAS BEEN THRUST UPON THE CONSUMING PUBLIC IS NOT. I'VE ASKED MY DEALERSHIP IF THEY CAN TONE DOWN THIS, FRANKLY, OBNOXIOUS SOUND THAT'S TRIGGERED. OF COURSE, THE ANSWER WAS NO! BY THE WAY, THIS IS THE SAME DEALERSHIP, ONE WITH WHICH I'VE DEALT FOR YEARS, THAT FAILED TO DISCLOSE THE FACT THAT MY NEWEST VEHICLE, LIKE IT OR NOT, HAD AN ADDED FEATURE. WHILE THE MANDATE WAS NOT CREATED BY THEM, THEY'VE CHOSEN TO HIDE BEHIND IT. AND, AS A RESULT, HAVE LEFT THE CONSUMER TO DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES. THIS ODD TURN OF EVENTS REMINDS ME OF ANOTHER INDUSTRY, ONE THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF CRITIQUE IN A BOOK TO BE RELEASED SOON. SADLY, PUBLIC SAFETY NOTWITHSTANDING, OUR OTHERWISE PERFECT BUT HIGH-DECIBEL-EMITTING UX250H WILL BE A DAILY REMINDER OF IT. THUS, I FEEL PERFECTLY ENTITLED TO MOUNT A SIGN ON THE CAR WARNING OTHERS THAT SAYS, 'THE SOUNDS YOU HEAR FROM THIS CAR WHEN BACKING OR DRIVING AT SLOW SPEEDS ARE COURTESY OF (NAME OF DEALERSHIP) - WHO INSISTED ON IT. HOPE YOU ENJOY!'
