Recall claim was submitted for recall #44C and while dealer submitted claim the issue was never fixed. Car is still completely silent driving <18mph through neighborhoods. EV Took car to another dealer and they will not fix because a claim was already filed even though issue was never fixed.

After having been in the possession of my car for 2 weeks, it went into a "bricked" mode where it could not be started. The only fix was for it to be towed to a dealer who was able to disconnect the 12V battery and reconnect it. This allowed it to run but in a reduced capacity. One week later, it was bricked again. I had it towed to another dealership who replaced that battery. The battery was faulty and was causing the car to not get receive updates. Since then, this issue has happened one more time and I was able to "reset" the car by walking away for 15 minutes, allowing the computer to turn off then try again.

While driving today I came to a stop sign, stopped. Proceeded to go and the Forward collision camera and surround camera kicked on and played a tone with nothing in front of me. Then as I proceeded to get up to speed the cameras and surround would not shut off. Or allow me to exit the screen. The camera finally shut off after about 10-15 minutes of driving at highway speeds. This is not the first time this vehicle has done this.

Since owning this car, I have experienced frequent software related problems of which has left me stranded (3) three times with one time requiring a tow to the dealership for service. As well, my Charger has been in the shop 6 times for both software related and part failure related issues. Software related problems have included: not starting, not recognizing key fob to enter vehicle, vehicle error and check engine light and other warning lights such as the SOS system being offline. It has bricked 4 times. It has also made unexplained noises such as a knocking noise on start up which the manufacture said was normal, but the dealership service department didn’t agree. I am filing a safety complaint regarding my vehicle due to repeated mechanical failures that have caused it to become unreliable and unsafe. My vehicle has experienced ongoing issues despite multiple repair attempts. Most recently, the vehicle broke down again and left me stranded while I was transporting my mother to a critical cancer appointment and the 1st time had me stranded on the highway late at night. This situation created a serious safety concern, as we were left stuck in the vehicle without reliable transportation for the 3rd time. This is not an isolated incident. The vehicle has previously been in the repair shop for an extended period (over 50 days), for a separate issue that has been resolved. Despite these repeated failures and loss of use, the manufacturer, Stellantis, has declined a buyback request. I no longer feel safe operating this vehicle due to its unpredictability and repeated breakdowns. This poses a risk not only to myself and my passengers but potentially to others on the road. I am requesting that this issue be investigated as a potential safety defect.

The vehicle was completely dead on the morning of 2/24/2026. Following the proper jumping procedure, the vehicle was jumped to restore power. A message on the dash stated to "check charging system". This message is generic in nature and usually indicates a 12V battery problem. The vehicle was left on and then plugged in to a Level 2 EV charger. The vehicle then caught fire and destroyed our detached garage. Stellantis did send an independent investigator who indicated that the fire likely started on the front right of the vehicle. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? UKNOWN How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Vehicle caught fire with no warning. If our garage was not detached, we would have lost our home. Others are at risk if this is a design defect. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? UNKNOWN - Vehicle was totaled Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Insurance, Fire, and Stellantis (private third party investigator). Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? In early September 2025, I leased a 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV. Unfortunately, the vehicle has already been in the dealership service department three separate times since I took delivery. The first two service visits occurred after the vehicle completely bricked and would not turn on. I was informed that the vehicle’s electronic module required updating and that the batteries had repeatedly died. Most recently, the situation has escalated to a significant safety concern. Earlier this week, the vehicle began shaking and intermittently accelerating and decelerating on its own while in operation(I have video proof of this) This behavior poses a serious danger to me and to others on the road. Due to these ongoing issues, I filed a formal complaint with Stellantis and was assigned case number [XXX]. I have been working with Stellantis representative Steve Stander; however, communication has been extremely difficult. Unfortunately, Mr. Stander has not been responsive to phone calls or emails in a timely manner, which has made resolving this matter challenging. At this time, the vehicle is once again in the shop, leaving me without transportation. During our last discussion, Mr. Stander acknowledged that Stellantis understands the vehicle is not dependable and offered $10,000 in down payment assistance along with employee pricing on a new Stellantis product. However, I currently still owe approximately $3,400 on the lease. Given the serious safety issues and repeated failures of the vehicle, I am requesting Stellantis’ assistance in grounding the lease and covering the remaining $3,400 balance so that I may exit this lease. I also previously sent Mr. Stander a video clearly showing the vehicle accelerating on its own to document the issue. I would greatly appreciate your help in resolving this matter as quickly as possible. It is urgent that I be able to safely exit this vehicle situation. While cruising on the highway at 55 MPH, I received a dashboard error message that indicated "Service Shifter". At the same moment, the lights on the gear lever went dark. I immediately took my foot off the throttle pedal, activated my right indicator, and changed lanes into the exit lane to leave the highway and determine what was wrong. As I was coasting down the exit ramp, I began to apply the brakes in order to stop at a red traffic light at the end of the exit ramp. The car directly ahead of me, by three car lengths began to decelerate quickly, and therefore I applied greater force to the brake pedal. It was at the very moment I applied greater brake force that the car actually began to accelerate, instead of slow down. This caused me to apply even more brake pedal downforce, and after what felt like all four wheels "shuddering", the can started to slow down and come to a stop. Other than the initial error message about the shifter in gauge cluster, there were no other error lights, sounds or messages when the unintended acceleration occurred. The conditions at the time this happened was it was 50 degrees F, and raining. The car was in Wet/Snow mode, with brake regen locked at Level 1.

I was sitting at an exit from a store waiting to pull out into an intersection. Full foot on the brake, and I know for certain I wasn't accidentally hitting the accelerator because on the first "jump" I checked to make sure. It lurched through the brakes multiple times bucking like a cammed car would. Then threw all these warning lights, turtle icon came up saying speed limited, and the collision lights came on as well as traction control was disabled. Shut off and wouldn't power back on for a few minutes leaving the entire front half of my car sitting in oncoming traffic. I've had this issue since day one. At first I thought it was from having the seats back in the furthest most position, but after testing its not. One of my friends legs got caught when trying to get out causing him to fall. Another's entire body was pinched because they cant get out in under 5 seconds.. If you have children do NOT put them in the back if you are having this issue. There is no safety mechanism in place and you have to way for the seat to go back all the way and reset the setback to get it to move forward again. Quickest solution I've found to get someone out in this situation is to allow it to fully adjust back, and manually adjusting the seat forward. I have not been able to charge the vehicle consistently at any stations since purchase in 8/28. I would get nonstop errors, having to un-plug and re-plug in the vehicle every 5-10%, sometimes not even working at all. I've been left stranded with less than 5% left and when I returned to the dealership to get an emergency charge just to get home they called the police on me and trespassed me from their lot.. I've only been able to get it to work at a tesla charger once. I've used multiple different adapters from Amazon including the Dewalt and Lectron adapters. The only one that's worked so far is the charger in Easton, MD with the magic dock connector already installed.

last Friday on my way home from lunch, my car went into turtle mode randomly as I was at stop light. Luckily, I was literally a half mile away from the dealership, so I limped to the dealership and parked it right in the service station. One of the service advisors immediately plugged in the computer to pull up the codes. The dealership was great and gave me a loaner and told me they had a special technician coming in on Tuesday to look at a different car and would have him take a look at mine. Well, the service manager called me today and said that the technician looked at the code and apparently dodge knows about the issue and is working on an update, but currently there is nothing they can do to fix it. He told me the update should be available in 4-6 weeks according to the tech. He gave me the customer care number and told me to contact them. He said he informed Tech Advisors and District Managers of my situation. The code is P3034-00, if anyone is interested.

While driving at highway speeds the vehicle suddenly dropped into "limp mode" causing the vehicle to start slowing down very quickly since I had regeneration breaking set to level 2. Causing the vehicle behind me to almost rear end me but they moved out of the way quick enough that no collision happened. I was able to turn on my hazard lights and roll to safety. After powering off the vehicle, exiting, locking it and later re-entering it was I able to drive it home normally. During this time the airbag error came up and a service electrical system error. The vehicle is currently parked and I can't move it. When I purchased the vehicle I was told all existing recalls were serviced but never received documents. The limp mode came without warning. It was raining at the time of failure.

Car was 1.5 weeks old, purchased brand new. Had several electrical glitches in the days prior, which went away. Pulled into my son's Little League game, and the car just started flashing all lights on the dash, then said 'Service Transmission'. Gear shifter flashing, could not put the vehicle into park or any gear, it was like tit was stuck between park and drive. Anyhow, here it is, in the shop already after 800 miles of ownership. Quite disappointed. Apparently this has been happening a LOT to new Dodge Charger Daytona EV owners. Extremely common.

When attempting to start the vehicle, it flashes warnings about pulling over immediately and that the electrical system must be shut down. Should this occur while in motion, the brakes will immediately lock and present a hazard to nearby motorists and the driver. This is the 3rd time this issue has occurred, and dealers are unsure of what the fix could be. Numerous warning lights flashed across the screen each time the car would not turn on. Vehicle entered sudden limp mode while merging onto freeway, reducing propulsion to ~30 mph and forcing driver to coast along shoulder. Dash displayed warning: “Stop Safely. Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon.” Multiple system faults appeared (regen, traction, collision fault, wrench light, turtle icon). Vehicle displayed uncommanded acceleration – continued driving without pressing throttle. Vehicles behind were forced to brake abruptly. The incident repeated 4 days later. Vehicle currently remains in dealership custody since May 30. Despite multiple attempts, Stellantis engineers have not identified root cause. Possible defects involve throttle position sensor (TPS), pedal module, 12V battery grounding, or motor actuator drift. Owner has had no consistent updates or defined fix. Problem remains active and unresolved. Vehicle is now undriveable due to unresolved risk of power loss during highway driving.

Electrical SystemJun 2025 · ODI 11669066Details +Close −
I am reporting serious and recurring electrical and system failures in my leased 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack EV, leased March 18, 2025. The vehicle has consistently experienced critical malfunctions that pose a threat to driver and public safety. The most dangerous issue is intermittent complete power failure. On at least four occasions, the vehicle failed to start or respond to keyless ignition. I was left stranded for 20–40 minutes in various locations with no access to power, movement, or control of the vehicle. These failures occurred without warning and could easily become life-threatening if they happen in traffic or isolated areas. Another severe defect involves the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. The display screen frequently blacks out or shows static while the vehicle is in use. When this happens, I lose access to critical safety features including the speedometer, turn signals, drive mode indicators, battery range, navigation, and system alerts. I’ve had to drive without visual cues, or speed visibility. On many occasions I nearly struck a barrier due to a blind reverse. The vehicle displays warnings such as “Stop Safely. Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon,” “Service Electric Vehicle System,” and “Service Transmission” while in motion. These failures have been documented with photo and video evidence and confirmed by a Stellantis-authorized dealer. A replacement radio assembly was ordered, but I was told there is no ETA, and it could take two months or longer to arrive. In the meantime, I am being told the car is “safe to drive,” despite these repeated system failures. The vehicle has been brought in for repairs four times and is still at the dealership service. The problems have not been resolved, and the issues continue to present a major safety risk.

While driving, the car suddenly went into "Turtle Mode" in which the car slowed down by itself and numerous warnings on the dash board suddenly appear including "Service Electrical System". Since I am in the middle of driving on a fairly busy street I attempt to get the car moving again and step on the accelerator pedal. The car does increase in speed but now will not stop speeding up even when I let off the gas pedal. The speed of the vehicle keeps getting faster ON IT'S OWN. I have to step on the brake and keep braking to get the car to slow down again. Then it starts to "Turtle" again and slows to a crawl. It step on the gas again and again the car starts to accelerate on it's own even when I let off the gas pedal. I regained control using the brake alone to get the car to a safe place where I could park and turn the car off.
