“The contact's daughter owns a 2022 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving at highway speeds, she crashed into another vehicle as she approached sudden oncoming traffic. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact was able to exit the vehicle and check on the other driver. A police report was filed. The contact was not offered medical attention at the scene and was able to drive the vehicle home. As her daughter was driving home, her boyfriend noticed that she began to stutter her words and instructed her to call the contact. The contact then instructed her to pull over and call for medical attention. She initially declined to go to the hospital due to her dog not being able to accompany her; however, the contact's daughter stated that she began to experience a tingling sensation down her left arm. Once at the hospital, her daughter was diagnosed with a severe concussion as the severe stuttering persisted. The contact's mother also noted that her personality has altered since the accident. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired for damages or investigated for the air bag failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
