All of a sudden the van starts running very hard, trying to stall, the stop/start warning comes on, engine light comes on and the van has a lot of trouble accelerating. If the van will stall in the middle of the road it would put me, my kids and other cars around me at risk, especially if we are on a fast highway. We took it to the dealer last year and they replaced all the coils and now the issue is happening again. No other professionals have inspected the vehicle but we are going to have to probably take it to the dealership to figure out what to do next. It is not safe to drive right now and I have 5 children that need to get safely to school

There is a sticking of the steering wheel when I have a slow turn to the right or I am on a gradual curve to the right. The steering wheel "locks" temporarily and I have to tug to the left to get it to move back to the center position. I took note of an NTHSA warning about 2018/19 Pacifica models having this issue and I wanted to report that my model is having the same issue. We purchased the vehicle used in 2025 and have had this issue within the last 30 days. I have not yet taken it to a dealership for assessment.

I was turning left into a parking lot when my 2020 Voyager steering stopped working while it started to show all warning lights and the wipers went on, then it went dead, had to be towed on a flatbed to the dealership, and after 4 weeks with no solution in sight, I decided to bring it home and research the solution myself, The problem came from the CAN bus connector located above the glove box, any short or voltage fluctuation from the wires out of the can bus causes the car to go into panic mode, sometimes making the steering wheel stop steering, and the engine to turn off, most of the times it renders the vehicle disabled. One of the connectors goes into the steering module attached to the electric steering column under the car, the pair of wires near the steering module was fused and exposed, touching each other, and the poor wire insulation, proximity of the engine exhaust pipe, and other hot components coupled with an excessive tight cable zip tie caused the damaged to the wire. Chrysler needs to replace wiring coming from the can bus connectors as damages to any of the wires cause wide failure of vital car components while driving. Case and point, a major safety issue with the Chrysler Voyager 2020 and possibly Pacifica 2020 as my steering wheel stopped working while making a left turn that could have caused a crash with incoming traffic. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Chrysler Dealer, but after 4 weeks they were unable to find and fix the issue, they replaced the auxiliary battery and were trying to replace the RFH module by did not fix it, that's when I decided to remove the car and inspect it my self.

When child was adjusting the recline in the driver side middle row bucket seat, the seat broke. The seat no longer stays in any recline position, and the seat no longer latches into place at the base and slides forwards and backwards. A system within the seat has failed. My 9 year old child’s safety was at risk, since the failure happened while she was in the seat and we were driving. The seat has not been inspected, but is available for inspection. There were no warnings of any kind before the failure. We were lucky we were close to home, and were not in an accident, or this could have been a lot worse. When I did a quick google search it shows that this seems to be a common problem for Chrysler vans, and should be corrected by Chrysler.

Power TrainSep 2021 · ODI 11434531Details +Close −
While drivng with the cruise control engaged and encountering a downhill speed increase of about 5 MPH, the transmission kicks down to engage engine breaking. However as the process starts, first the engine revs and will increase vehicle speed by about 5 MPH. An example is cruise set at 60, down hill increases speed to 65, engine rev results in 70 MPH speed requiring heavy braking to regain control. I have tested this without the cruise engaged by shifting from D to L and engaging the kickdown process and engine accelleration in an identical manner. I have viewed the Chrysler Owner Forum and found many complaints of this occurance on Pacifica modesl since 2017. Most suggest it is a software problem. No component failed. My safety and the safety of others are at risk for the sudden increase in speed and demand for increased heavy braking. I have not contact the dealer since I have read all the prior Pacfica complaints and I believe Chrysler knows of the problem. No one has inspected the vehicle. No warnings are presented prior to the sudden accelleration. My vehicle can demonstrate this fault at any time or place.

Air Bags · 24V793000Details +Close −
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Pacifica and 2020-2021, 2023 Voyager vehicles. An improperly secured connector for the side curtain air bags may prevent the air bags from deploying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 214, "Side Impact Protection" and 226, "Ejection Mitigation."
Risk: An air bag that does not deploy during a crash increases the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will secure the connector, free of charge. All vehicles have been remedied. Owner notification letters were mailed October 22, 2024. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is A8B.
