“My torque converter is malfunctioning, there are no warning lights, and my car only started driving differently very recently in the past couple of weeks. According to the Ford mechanic my car has been throwing error codes since early May. The dealership was able to confirm that this happens, and that my torque converter needs to be replaced. My car is only four years old and only has 75,000 miles on it. Ford refuses to do anything to help with this almost $8000 repair. They also issued a recall for the backup camera, update was pushed to my car that was supposed to correct it, my backup camera now goes black frequently when I am reversing.”

“On Wednesday May 13th the car started acting a little jerky whence putting car in reverse like normal. There was a thunk sound. But it still shifted. We then drove the car about 10 miles. Then later in the day attempted to drive home. It’s was over-roving while driving. Acting erratic. We pulled into a tire place to see if something was stuck underneath. The check engine light was on and there was an error message saying broken parking brake? They said to have it towed to a Transmission Specilist. To our horror. They are saying it needs a new transmission! A 4 yr old car? This is not normal. It worked fine until now. It would not move out of second or third gear. It nearly crashed.”
